Welcome to the Jungle

Warning: Spoilers
Narcos is one of my favorite shows so when I saw that this episode was going to be very similar to the mayhem that program offers I was intrigued. Unfortunately, it ended up as a pretty generic NCIS: New Orleans episode and one that did very little to embrace the unique setting they had.

Okay TV, but not a can't miss episode.

Predictable & SWJ laced...even with that still enjoyable.

Warning: Spoilers
While I do enjoy this show on the whole, this episode is yet another example how all of NCIS show are falling to the SWJ mob think. SGT Haliday is the perfect example of fake female power. First a Green Beret, of which there are no females, is the main focus. Add to that the fact that she fights a man much larger than her but also takes out two, yes two, SEALS at the same time. She is obviously being set up to take Sonja's place on the show. In the last few seasons there have been of the three NCIS shows there have been 7 new main characters added. All 7 women, and 5 of six PoC. The other 6 are at the very least believable and most are enjoyable to watch. Sydney Halliday as a character however is just to far out of my realm of willing suspense of disbelief. I like strong female characters but in a show like this I would at least like them to be somewhat believable. The CIA bad guy was one of the most predictable things I have seen in a long time. Anyone who watches TV in today's age and pays any sort of attention to the current sociopolitical environment knows that they are going to make a female PoC the villain.
