Not Happy
burkediane14 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I don't know where the judges were dug up from, but please replant them. Rue Paul's phony laugh drove me crazy; Faith Hill believes she is a critic (wrong); and Drew Barrymore has turned sappy. That said, the world's greatest singer left the show to the children. Dimash is an incredible man and his country believes in its children. What he did is not surprising. He is the only reason I watched the show at all. He is, indeed, the world's greatest singer. Most of the acts were average and diminished by the inability to produce variety. Sad.

The worst talent show I have ever seen...ever.
flutist-5820216 March 2019
This is the worst talent show I have seen ever. You edited all of the performances to cut down on their time, only to increase the stupid drama of the voting process. The musical performances suffered from this editing the most. It interrupted the natural flow of the music and made it sound strange. You robbed all of the musical contestants and the TV audience from their full performances. Then, if that wasn't enough, you lied to Dimash when he said that the precondition for his signing onto the show was that he wouldn't be competing against children. You actually lied to him to get him onto your show. Well, he showed you what a man of integrity does, didn't he? And RuPaul had the bleeping nerve to call him disrespectful and BS? Really?? And of course, your editing of the show failed to air Dimash's explanation for leaving. I can go on and on about how awful your show was, but I did witness one of the best things I saw on TV in a long time - the integrity of man who stood by the teachings of his culture, and couldn't care less about fame and fortune. TWB...I hope you learned a lesson there.

Disrespectful to art and people
iremediabil18 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Not a bad idea but so far from its title. They have butchered performances , especially Dimash's who was told he wouldn't have to compete with children, so he chose to quit the show. Calling Dimash disrespectful when it was their fault in the first place it's an offence to everything Dimash stands for . He is a world star and a kind man and he believes in giving oportunities to the young ones, not stealing their chance . Anyway, i haven't seen world's best there, some wouldn't even pass in their own country's talent show.

Extremely Underwhelming Show - Would Not Recommend To Anyone.
Dan_Bee17 March 2020
I'd like to start by saying the American Panel of Judges consists of RuPaul (who is in no way fit to be a judge on such a TV show). Not only is he extremely unprofessional, he sings (however not professionally in a sense where he releases music. He's more focused on entertainment like his Drag Race Show) and doesn't actually have the skill to properly critique acts on the show. He is great in entertainment and that's where he should remain. The way he reacted when Dimash asked to leave the competition was completely unprofessional and disrespectful (not to mention extremely dramatic and unnecessary as well). Not only did it show him off as a terrible judge, but also as a terrible human being. Dimash clearly said the reason why he was leaving the competition was because he personally felt it was unfair for him to be competing with 2 young children and be judged equally where he had many more years of practice and his vocals are much more mature than theirs. He was also made unaware that children would be participating in the competition, otherwise he would've never joined. I love Drew Barrymore as an actress, and even though she sings, it doesn't mean she has the musical ear to critique people's singing. Just because someone can sing, doesn't mean they are all fit to be judges. Not every singer has a musical ear in a sense they can identify a real artist. Faith Hill, never heard of her until the show so I cannot give my opinion on her in terms of music. The overall reaction from the panel was completely disappointing and only showed me, as a viewer, that they are extremely shallow. If they were frustrated about losing such a talent like Dimash, they could've expressed that frustration without having to insult the guy and basically tell him to suck it up it's a competition. There are morals and ethics and whatever one believes, he/she shouldn't be compelled to go against their beliefs. He felt it was unfair to compete against children, so as judges and MATURE adults, they should've communicated their frustrations better and not attack the artist. As for the whole concept where combined the American judges get 50 points and the rest of the world get 50 is unfair and biased (especially since the show is called The WORLD"S Best). Each judge should have an equal vote whether it be yes or no, or a rating of 0-50. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this show to anyone nor would I be looking forward for another season. There are much better shows out there that are talent based and entertaining at the same time like all the (Country) Idols, Talents and The Voice shows.

Participation rewards for all
viper-469014 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
After watching the martial artist group attempt to break particleboard and even miss one and get nearly a perfect score I became unamused. Then I thought maybe they just have never seen a martial arts act before, so I regretfully continued to watch. The next talent was a trio of young singers. They were decent. I will not say that they were not talented, but they were far from the world's best. The kids score you ask? 99 again!!! They give nearly perfect scores to average people. By this point seeing 2 average performances at best get nearly perfect scores I had to shut it off. If you want to see average talent get awarded participation trophies, be my guest, but this is the exact problem with the world today.

Absolutely horrible to the contestants
sonic-7188714 March 2019
Warning: Spoilers
They completely butchered Dimash's performances by cutting it to 1 minute and 30 seconds even though he actually performed the whole song there. RuPaul's comment on why Dimash dropped out is one of the most disrespectful things I've seen on live TV, not to mention eliminating the TNT Boys because of maturity. Disgraceful show

keeperrm7 February 2019
The host is annoying and trying too hard to be funny. The acts have been blah and yet the judges act like they cured world hunger. Very unoriginal show. 100% sure this won't see another year in TV.

TV is still alive!
echeverriasofi5 February 2019
It takes courage to go on any stage and all of the performers showed they have what it takes to go on one of the world's biggest stages... USA prime time TV. On the viewer side... I was entertained, excited, I yelled at the TV, cried and laughed. Great show, good concept, fun judges (RuPaul especially), excellent production value. Corden does a good job as host, he feels fresh and genuine with the performers. TV is still alive and is sooo entertaining!

A wonderfull acts of competitors vs the most disgusting judgements
mmahyar22 October 2020
The competitors are wonderful and have the most beautiful acts even better than AGT , but all three judges are most disgusting and hypocrite person that I ever seen in all my life. They are speaking such positively about one act so you would expected they to vote high to it but their vote is very low. And a few of the 50 international judges have also very rigid and dogmatist personality especially South Africa representation in episode 1

Absolutely Tasteless!
davidvazquez-516855 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Absolute mess, there are 3 judges, the highest they can give is a "50" combined score, and then behind them there is 50 "International" judges that count as 1 point each, if I recall correctly, you need 75 to go to the next round. Anyways, the actual first episode was absolutely horrible and tasteless, the judges just sit there in awe. That is absolutely no joke, the literally sit there like "ö" that gets old fast. I dont get how the audience would ever be excited from a show like this, it is not live but somehow people this a mak with 60 swords in his mouth will somehow die on tv.Now towards the end of that episode... they decided to leave it on a cliff hanger (in the middle of an act) it would be an understatement to say that it was a cheap stunt with the whole "Tune in next time to see if this man in chains without any air survives till Wednesday". I dont expect this show to survive, leave it to X-Factor and Americas Got Talent to have a tasteless show CBS!

Lets be P.C. and give high marks for complete failure
agon02445 February 2019
This is the world we live in. Even when you suck at something judges STILL need to award you a high score. If they don't then they are hateful people who should be smeared on social media and treated like garbage.

People are so afraid to speak their true mind, and this show is undeniable proof of it. Even when you don't deserve it the the liberal moronic producers behind this show will still tell they are good because "we don't want to hurt their feelings right?" People getting 99 out of 100 for a garbage performance is not subtle. This channel has become the epitome of the liberal agenda. Lets call a spade a spade. The people you decided to award a high score to for a dumpster fire of a performance just shows your stupidity and the eventual failure of yet another wasted CBS show. Good job wasting the most premiere time slot of the year on this garbage. This shows your complete incompetence as a T.V. station.

Poor production, world's best what..? Amateurs?
joshgrulkowski10 March 2019
First off.. "first-of-its-kind global talent competition". - Seriously? Sounds like the kind of blatantly false claim Trump would make!

I agree with a previous reviewer - this show is like the poor man's AGT. There were a couple of decent acts that I think would've made it pretty far on AGT, but most of the acts seem like they belong in a high school talent show. Justin Flom's final performance..? Are you kidding me?! I honestly think that a five year old could pull off the same "trick" - there was zero talent involved.

World's Best has a decent concept with the "wall of the world" and I enjoy James Corden as the host, but it tries too hard to clone AGT and it's VERY poorly produced.

Exploitation pablum
philipearlj5 February 2019
Watching real talent like Drew Barrymore, and so many other accomplished artists, have to overgush and blush over acts that, while interesting and talented, are basically curiosities being used as bait, is like watching NASCAR Champions judge the Cub Scout Pinewood derby. Avoid like the plague.

Still on the fence...
AdrienneGrayceMusic8 February 2019
I was excited for this show to come out, as I am in the entertainment biz and I love watching competition reality shows, such as The voice, America's Got Talent, etc. So, after seeing the commercials for this show every day, it had my interest. First off, I was so disappointed with the 1st episode because they left you hanging at the end with the guy holding his breath, and they just cut the show off and you had to wait for the next show to come on to see if they guy made it out alive. We all knew he would, but still. Aside from that, I can't take Faith Hill's crying over every little thing. She is annoying. I love Ru Paul but not as a judge for this show. Drew Barrymore is great, and a good choice. Now onto what I like. I like the variety on the show. The contestants are indeed talented for the most part and its great entertainment. I also like how they show people's talent from all over the world, and have the "world" judges from all over helping decide their fate. I will continue watching for the entertainment value of watching the acts perform, but this most likely wont last more than 1 or two seasons.

So bad
dlaughlin-9004614 February 2019
I don't know how this show made it to prime time tv. The "American" judges cry and gush over every singer that comes on. There are some that were good, but I wouldn't say they were that good. Remarks are so rehearsed and fake. With Faith Hill crying all the time and Drew getting goosebumps it is ridiculous. I haven't heard one singer that would be called great. There have been some good ones. Some of the other acts were ok. Very few acts would have even been considered for other talent shows. It is not a very good show and it's boring. I tried it, but I don't think I will even have a chance to watch it past this season after it gets canceled.

A National Disgrace
RavenousFallen31 October 2020
How they treated Dimash can only be described as deeply regretful and shameful. Few shows demeaned America's image as this one has by how it has treated kind hearted people with such disdain and indignation.

CBS, Warner Bros, MGM, etc should all be ashamed of themselves for keeping this show on air after such a disgusting and revolting display of inhumane behavior.

It's boring. There's not much else to it.
savdebunnies7 February 2019
The acts aren't any better than street preformers at a farmer's market. Standard church choir level singing, musicians hitting a sour note half a dozen times, and every third act is just there to raise awareness for some medical condition or another. (Trying to raise awareness is fine, but the promoting acts aren't even remotely good.)
