What are the writers doing?

Seriously.... a relative I don't recall being mentioned before, somehow makes characters we have enjoyed on screen for years into the most petty, selfish versions of themselves ever, and the recurring sideshow of Phil, Cam and Gloria being "stupid".... it's lazy, boring and not fun to watch. If the standard doesn't pick up by the end of this season I doubt I will continue watching, leave myself with at least the earlier seasons to enjoy before the show is ruined for me.
Mediocre episode becomes a Toyota commercial

Didn't love that a tired episode spiraled into a lame Toyota commercial. Art is when you start creating something without knowing the end product. Propaganda is when you know the end product and base the beginning of your creation to fit the end. MF is quickly becoming propaganda.
Wow wow wow. Could this BE any more mediocre?

Don't get me wrong. There have been worse...much much worse MF episodes.
Is this rewatchable? Hmmmmm. It's not a good epsiode. It's not an awful episode. It's mediocre. Probably in the 5 star range.
I don't think I have a lot of 5 stars. I usually love it...like it enough to watch again...or dislike it...or hate it. This is one of those that i really have no strong feelings for. It never fully gets good..or bad. Like most later MF episodes...completely forgettable.
Hate Haley character.
Mira Sorvino character is dumb...as well as whole NERP. I don't know if I've ever liked her in anything.
I like the IDEA of getting trapped on the way to the escape room. Some ok stuff here.
But with 20 minutes of episode, no way can give enough time to anything to flush out goodness.
Phil had the best lines this episode.
When storylines don't intersect, it's basically pointless to give each plot line like 6 minutes each.
Arvin character was always stupid...and now his parents. I like the actor who plays the dad but the mom...well, I guess she did her job...to be annoying.
Jay has a sister? When the hell did this happen?
I guessed the twist right when I saw her "doctor"
