Nice

Contrary to the other review, Freddy was serious in the original. He didn't crack jokes. He just stalked each person to terrify them then he finished them off. The one liners and overall comedic tone of the sequels is one of the reasons that they never came close to living up to the original. I think this is a solid attempt to bring those days back.

Keep to the original

As an avid nightmare fan this looks bad! I agree it needs a better reboot then the one that came out a few years ago but you have to remember what made the originals good was how freddy was. He wasn't serious he wasnt meant to be a Michael Myers or Jason voorhees type he messed with you it was all a joke to him. That is more creepy then someone who just kills

Only for the biggest Krueger fans

Warning: Spoilers
Domonic Smith's "Nightmare: Return to Elm Street" is a 3-minute live action short film in the fotrm of a trailer. This was released less than a year ago and is packed with references about everybody's favorite nightmare murderer. We see a man with his seemingly normal family, but it becomes obvious pretty quickly how his daughters are haunted by Freddy Krueger from the way they behave, what they have to say and also from their paintings. So daddy goes looking for help and finds somebody to support him in fighting this monster. But yeah, it's only so much you can fit into 180 seconds to be fair and for that it is not too bad, but not too good either I guess. Maybe if you really adore Krueger and also his weaker films, you will find pleasure in this one. By the way, it is not out of the ordinary at all that this got made as movies about legendary horror film characters are pretty common these days, especially when it comes to fan films. This one here will most likely never be turned into a full feature movie, at leastg not about the premise presented in here and that's okay. It's 3 mildly entertaining minutes that admittedly you are not missing too much if you decide to skip them. Acting's tolerable. All in all, I'd say don#t watch.

Make Freddy Great Again
ulmaroperez30 September 2019
This trailer and the others showcase what Freddy was before the one liners and jokes. A supernatural dream induced death by murder. This is portrayed very well in this film and bring him back to his roots was a stroke of genius. I would watch the feature length film of this storyline even if it was not canon to the actual timeline because its the freshest look at the very first iteration of Freddy Kruger.
