OK end to an OK series but that wasn't London!
antj99910 June 2018
It was an average end to a series that had great and terrible moments. I do not understand why a show of this level couldn't make their London scenes seem believably in London. The streets didn't look like London, the architecture didn't look like London, the car number plates were far from British and Amy's accent made me punch the furniture every time she opened her mouth. If there's a series three it'll have to be better to keep me interested to the end.

Run - Episode 222
bobcobb30122 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Designated Survivor was a show that seemed good on paper but they could never get the balance right. They didn't want to be The West Wing, but at times they went too far in the other direction with the ridiculous action sequences.

The series finale did nothing to make fans miss this show. A natural disaster that was wrapped up mid-episode and a predictable ending with Kirkman running as an Independent.

The politics wasn't believable, the action too over the top, the season finale was really the show in a nutshell.

My ears are bleeding

This is a fun season finale, but whoever hired that obviously American kid to play a British girl needs firing immediately. Every time she spoke I wanted to punch a hole in my TV screen. And... is that supposed to be England? That's the most blatant Torontonian street I've ever seen in my life.

Other than that... I'm looking forward to the final season!

Great cliffhanger!

It's inconceivable that this excellent show has been cancelled. Not all the shows have been outstanding, but the main character is such a decent guy in the midst of turmoil and decent that we always want to see how he disarms his adversaries. Let's hope it's picked up by another network!

Loved the episode especially the Hannah/Amy storyline. Really wanted to see where they were taking this...bummed it's over.

So-so season finale
JamesInLondon17 May 2018
It was a satisfactory finale to what has been an up and down season - mostly good, but with a few very tepid episodes along the way.

Some of the scenes that were supposedly set in London were kind of terrible (I think they were actually filmed in Canada) but Damian's daughter's horrible English accent, and some of the overly-cliched pieces on the set: a picture of The Queen hanging on the wall of some random cafe - oh puhhhlease. It all made it kind of a tough watch for me as a real Londoner.

Besides, Hannah Wells 'in London' acting on her own authority made no sense, where did she even get her gun?

With all that having been said, I hope the show returns for Season 3.

Great series, good episode, but...

I have quite enjoyed this series from s01e01, and this was quite a good episode. I do have to take issue with the ridiculously bad English accent attempted by actress Taylor Blackwell (Amy). What on earth were they thinking?

Ready for Year Three
Hitchcoc22 July 2019
The President continues to battle partisanship. He is being hounded to declare his re-election and choose a party. A tsunami happens in a US territory and this is an opportunity to do the right thing. Hannah has a single task to accomplish. There is, of course, a cliffhanger ending, setting up Season 3.

Why not just use an English actress?
sinningsquid19 April 2021
I'm part way through this episode, but felt compelled to add that Zoe McLellan *cannot* do a British accent. It reminds me of Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins. Just...stop.. Stop it. No! Just hire an actual British actor. There are plenty of them around.

Also, the number plates on the cars were all wrong and nobody... NOBODY sweetens their tea with marmalade.

*Edit* The police sirens were French, not British. Come on, guys.. These details aren't hard. Stop being lazy!

Have the producers ever left the US?
sjcward12 March 2021
Firstly, I love this show. However, anyone watching this particular episode who is British or resides in Britain will have spotted that this clearly wasn't filmed in the UK. The overuse of black cabs, the occasional London bus, the misshaped post boxes, blatant green screen backgrounds and misplaced architecture, the non UK cars with unrecognisable license plates. For a show with such great content, this was a real half assed effort, especially for a season finale.

Honestly?

Warning: Spoilers
I am definitely unhappy with this episode. Yes - the cliffhanger ist great - but knowing this was the last episode (probably) - the whole show seems unfinished to me. They ruined a character within seconds? Why?

If it wants to be renewed......

Making a happy ending every episode makes a mockery of the fans. Make the suspense lasting over episodes. This draws the crowds making it a event.
