Doing what it does well

Ok so I'm finally just accepting this programme's bubblegum nature and hairbrained schemes and nonsense, and with that approach this episode was good fun. No more "why on earth would they do that?" or "wow that's a crazy hunch huh?" And just starting to go with it. It's not the West Wing, it's not 24, it's not Homeland, but it is an enjoyable mash up that is a pleasant escape for 44 mins. I've given up expecting too much and now just enjoying what it is at face value.

Does John Kelly carry his phone around in front of his face all the time??
Debette-113 April 2018
If there are any readers here with ties to the White House - ever - tell me: The way "Emily" is ALWAYS shown with her phone in front of her, leads me to think we need to stage an intervention for her. Do real Chiefs of Staff do this?? She looks like a teenager, obsessed with her phone; it also makes her look less efficient, that she cannot remain present in the moment and deal with whatever earth-shattering situation is going on at the time. I find it really irritating.

During this episode the White House introduced a new staffer Ms. Simms. Who stated her brother was in the Navy. Specifically a member of Seal Team 3.

Later in the episode the brother, Sgt. Simms was introduced. The Navy doesn't have Sergeants in the Navy.

Overkill

Warning: Spoilers
For awhile this show seemed to be tackling real issues which was good to see. Now they have all this nonsense with made up countries.

And what is with the weird scenes between Trey and Tom? We didn't have it last week, but again we have two brothers sitting way too close to each other on the couch.

The show is in a rut. We need another major shakeup like a death or something to fix it.

Everything Falls Into Place
Hitchcoc21 July 2019
If I wanted to work at it, I could find about twelve fortuitous events that take place that help the President recover from a nightmare. What I'm saying is that there is very little sophisticated presentation of the dealings going on internationally. Hannah seems to have a huge magicians hat. When she looked in that drawer. Well voila! There seems to be a rabbit. This show is so scripted as to wrap everything up in 45 minutes. It also has the classic Saturday morning serial thing going on. Another crisis appears with about two minute left in the episode.

Ridiculous!

Warning: Spoilers
Now FBI agent Hannah Wells is being inserted in a forward area with a seal team? And she is the lead? Just when I thought this show couldn't get any more ridiculous, it proves me wrong. It's TV and movie making, we don't expect it to be real life (that would be boring). But, at least try and make it believable. It doesn't do the series any good when the audience is laughing at the parts that are supposed to be drama. Oh, and Maggie Q (Hannah Wells), can't act. At all!

SUPER AGENTS HANNAH WELLS
tcavadino3 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I am getting sick and tired of seeing Agent Wells in every single situation. How is she leading a SEAL team into a foreign country on a potential invasion??!!! Of course she's there because she's the super duper agent who's literally involved in every single conspiracy investigation, murder investigation and plot. It's getting boring now.

Also this episode introduced Sgt Simms (no Sgt in the Navy SEALs by the way) and of courseeee this is the soldier that is involved with Hannah Wells in the episode. God this writing is getting boring now. Does Hannah Wells not take holidays or do anything with her time except hunt down America's enemies?

Hannah Wells was a ticking time bomb since the start
Shiryu058 September 2021
It makes absolutely NO SENSE to keep an agent like Wells on board, working cases and sent to the battle field in an actual war. Hannah would be required to take time off after her lover was killed - that set off an agenda where she cannot view things objectively. Granted she has great instincts but her mere presence is a threat to every agent and soldier working with her! This is really irresponsible and here's hoping that governmental agencies don't allow loose cannons to go wandering off where they do whatever the hell they want x_x.
