Rather decent for a TV movie
omendata13 April 2020
The shark attack scenes are very disappointing and the script is a bit lacklustre but what makes the entire movie standout is the superlative acting and performance from Houston Stevenson - Surely a star in the making, he carries the entire movie and makes what would otherwise be a tame Paramount WET Sunday afternoon movie into something a lot more interesting!

Feeding Frenzy
lavatch25 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
"A Predator's Obsession" (a.k.a., "Stalker's Prey 2") developed an interesting set of characters with the focus on young Allison "Ali" Hooper. As aspiring photographer, Ali captures some revealing photos during the action, and she has her heart set on attending Albertus College in the fall.

At first, Ali is grateful when Daniel Kennedy rescues her little brother Kevin, as well as Ali herself, during a shark attack at the Silver Sands Marina. The first third of the film appears to be heading towards romance.

But the true colors of the neurotic Daniel kick in, and the film turns into the horror genre and a feeding frenzy for the sharks. It was unfortunate that three very decent characters, Ali's kind step-father (Ted), her boyfriend Carson, and her best friend Rhiannon become collateral damage.

Daniel, who first appeared to be a dreamer, turns into everyone's nightmare when he becomes obsessed with Ali. For her part, Ali was too slow in figuring out Daniel's pathology and not listening to Carson, who had the ocular proof that Daniel was an imposter.

There was some imagination on the part of the filmmakers as they wove the imagery of sharks throughout the film. But the final result was far too unpleasant, as apparent with the survivor Ali having lost three important people in her life. This feeding frenzy was a bummer.

Quite good for a Lifetime movie!

This was a very good movie and the CT filming locations were great. If you saw the original movie, Stalker's Prey, this was the sequel. Daniel saves a woman's children from a shark and hailed the hero. Trouble is he's a total psycho and thinks he and the woman's daughter should be together forever. Houston Stevenson does a great job in the title role. A strong plot and highly recommended!!

Who made this garbage? This is the worst movie of all time ! Acting terrible. Story terrible. SFX terrible. Amusement factor Zero. As enjoyable as getting teeth pulled If you can find anything exciting or even mildly interesting in this $25 budget movie, you must be living a really dull life. Like watching paint dry. Please stop making crap like this anymore and actually put some thought into what you are producing. Honestly don't understand what's up with all the great reviews. Are they paid?

Warning: Spoilers
The film is a torture to watch.....not only all the dialoguesa are boringly expected but they are deklivered with such a colourless way itr would be better if they had the actors shown reading from a pice of paper.....also with all the commodity happening in that poor pier...somebody would expect CIA FBI amnd the marines to storm in from every direction.....all actors are gabbages ..that makes the shark who consumed some of them an argent vegetterian

Meaner than usual
pmtelefon23 March 2020
I watched this movie under the title "A Predator's Obsession". Under either title, it's a pretty good movie. It is, however, a little rougher than usual. I'm not complaining. It's just that I was a little surprised at the amount violence. The cast is fine and they all do a nice job. The story took a couple of turns that I did not expect. The locations were great. I plan on driving to check out Niantic, CT this summer. It's only a couple of hours away and the area looks really nice in "A Predator's Obsession". Honorable mention: a dreamy Sarah Wisser.

Evil man with pet shark

This is a good lifetime thriller, as they make villains really callous. I found the beach theme nice, and the hot blonde guy who saved a boy's life turned out to be a complete nutcase psychopath.

Stalkers Prey was the appetizer

It seems that the heroiness in this franchise is typically a niave nubile horny late teen who really wants to do it with the guy in her life. The better part is that they always seem to have waaay hotter friends with bigger smiles and twins among other things, this one is no exception. An instant 10er from the opening shot to the finish.
