It's alright, a bit silly.
Sleepin_Dragon21 November 2019
There has been a run on babysitter films again, a genre that had seen finished is back, tormented pretty blonde babysitters will never be safe again. This is going to be hated by anyone expecting horror, it has a few jumps, but definitely doesn't deserve the tag of humour, I'd actually put it down as a comedy, I laughed at several moments, not sure it was intended to be funny, buy hey ho. The acting is decent, but at times you can feel the cast battling a loose script. It's not great, but it's a fun watch, with some nice moments of suspense. 6/10

Good scenes plus bad scenes equal mediocre movie.
tomfsloan23 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Babysitters Nightmare. Who says "Hello" to someone sitting down in a restroom stall? Other than Kaci, does every woman have to look alike? The murder victim in the beginning looked exactly like the blonde nurse and the mother. Maybe it's the same actress used in several roles to save money. Granted, they look good, but is it not possible to find brunettes or women with shorter hair? Too many times someone was overly startled by someone else. So much so even the cleaning lady said, "We've got to stop doing this". How right she was! The girls needed Kevin McCallister in that house. About that stupid fight scene in the kitchen...geez. And make sure you only hit the criminal with the teapot once. Two times might hurt. That's a common theme in this movie and almost every other movie. But I admire the way the perpetrator was finally subdued at the end. Despite all my complaints, and all the other complaining user reviews, these lousy movies hold our interest because we still love to watch them.

Literally...no.
happiashley17 December 2018
There were some good scares in this movie but as someone in the medical field I can't over look the glaring medical errors. Just no. Don't tackle real diseases if you don't know how they work. :( For starters...Type I diabetics don't get "cheat days" and you don't treat hypoglycemia with more insulin.

Warning: Spoilers
I've never written a review for a movie in my life but this film is so bad and had me so frustrated I had to. It was so bad I cant believe I sat through the whole movie but I think that's why I did to see if it could keep gettin worse lol. and it didn't disappoint absolute disaster who would direct a movie like this. The title is terrible aswel as the acting the script is ridiculous. It's simple math right from the start when daphne has made a mistake in her job but she isn't the only one that was to blame and a young boy dies because of this. The first thing that comes into my head is the parents or parent of that child will probably be seeking revenge. But sure why not throw in a creepy pizza dude and I mean what a weirdo but not enough to throw me off. Dispite all this the one thing that really annoyed me was the maid. Daphne didn't even ask for some Id to be sure or even phone the parents to check with them but instead got caught up in arrogant conversation with the mother aka the maid of the boy who died daphnes patient. And then her friend from work shows up with Chinese and wine. when their sitting at the table their having conversations and a bit of a laugh when the landline is disconnected, daphnes mobile is missing and strange maids are showing up outa nowhere. I've a lot more I wana say but honestly if someone can direct a movie as bad as this anything in the movie industry is possible.

Just Ridiculous
carreonguiselle3 March 2019
Some of the scenes are so ridiculous that the movie was more of a comedy than a horror flick. The villain gets knocked out with a small push or a weak swing of a chair. Acting was awful. Not believable.

Lifetime needs to abandon this type of horror genre
phd_travel27 August 2018
Boring boring boring then quick easy conclusion. Lifetime has to stop pushing into this genre of slasher horror story. Without many thrills or chills what's the point?

The lead actress is alright, so are the other cast members. But characters are under developed.

Don't bother.

So boring and predictable
jamesnrnimmo29 May 2020
This film went no where. Do not watch it. The kids acting was good, but they wrote him far too old for his age. But he has more promise than any of them.

The actors did the best they could with what they had. The fight scenes were worse than something you'd see in a students movie at college. Just dreadful really.

Zzzzzzzzz

Toby for Oscar
blackwida20 October 2019
I have never laughed so much!! What with Toby's needy camp overacting, tied to his mother's apron strings, or was it the babysitter's mate who just couldn't get out of character as a parody of a trans cast off from Ru Paul's Dragrace. Or the mother with her left eye where the right eye should be and vice versa, coupled with such a poor script and zero factual research into diabetes .... if you want to kill a couple of hours then go ahead. Personally they all deserve to die......

Hilariously bad
Barnfizzle26 October 2019
Dunno why the boy played his character like a 42 year old housewife. Was weird. Storyline wasn't too bad but the acting was trash. Could pass for a spoof horror film it's so bad.

Enjoyed Brittany and Shanica
hoops-5343629 May 2021
I really enjoyed this film. I could ignore the ignorance of the writers and the director about diabetes. I liked not knowing who was the culprit til the very end.

Having the pizza guy to throw people off was good but it prayed on the belief that people who look creepy are to be shunned.

Brittany Underwood and Shanica Knowles will keep the men watching.

It's a lifetime movie...not an Oscar award winner
rachelstuartwhite11 April 2019
There is a formula, several infact for these movies, but if you watch these enough, you probably know that. It's so bad if you know the medical field in the very least and if you know who personal care/babysitting goes. But it's also bad just with the pizza delivery industry too... everything is bad. Honestly, that's why I watch these and so do you. It's the reason people are into sports. The psychology behind it is that there are rules and when broken we scream at the tv. This is trash bad script and acting. We yell at referees for the same reason...yet we can't help ourselves to watch the next made for tv movie or go to the pub to watch our favorite sports team. This one is so bad it's good, just like all the others you love to hate.

Frustratingly hilarious
acrocker-7129715 May 2020
This film is one of those hidden gems you stumble across every now and then.

it Quickly became clear that there were no award winning performances in this film and I think it's admirable to have a cast full of people with no acting experience.

Once you get past the frustration at the poor attempt at acting, the film takes on a hilarious new tone. The Villain in this film was the star of the show hands down. I can only hope that if I ever found myself in their position I wouldn't suddenly move at the pace of a lethargic tortoise with the murderous capabilities of a . . a um. . . . Lethargic tortoise? (When they end up in the pool I genuinely lost it laughing so much)

The Only good thing about this film was Brittany Underwood. Dayyyum she wears those jeans!

You do NOT treat hypoglycaemia with insulin!!!!
kirsty_mac5 March 2020
This was a truly terrible movie which also made me very angry as there clearly had been no or very poor research into type 1 diabetes for the movie. There are no cheat days and you absolutely do not ever treat hypoglycaemia (low blood glucose) with insulin (which lowers glucose) and could kill someone! Sick of seeing movies and tv programmes that seem to think it's ok to tell their audiences this and potentially put someone's life at risk #angrytype1

Is it possible to give 0 stars?
rajchakrabarti-339142 February 2020
I don't know what to say. Each passing second of this movie made me want to tear my eyeballs out from my skull and toss them into a deep, roaring pit of hellfire so they're never subjected to seeing such a monstrosity again.

The acting was terrible. From every single person in this movie. Not one single but of good acting.

The main character's acting was so atrocious, that at times I was cringing even watching her.

The kid (Toby) was... how can I put this... absolutely, utterly, undoubtably terrible. His over enthusiastic, overly - confident, mind numbingly atrocious performance (even considering his age) made me throw up. I know he's just a kid, but someone, at some point had to have been like "man we need to, at the very least, sort out what that kid is doing in front of camera"

Then there's the script. Now, I will accept that the actors were pretty much screwed from the start, because the script writing was so, so appalling (don't know if we're allowed to swear in these, so I'm trying to avoid it). ALL of the dialogue between the babysitter and the kid felt forced, and completely unnatural. At times I thought I could see the actors physically in pain as they had to deliver their poorly written lines.

And at the end, there's a HUGE PLOT TWIST. Except there isn't. Because anyone with the slightest trace of a brain cell, can figure out the 'twist' without any difficulty. Oh, wow, "it killer wasn't really who we thought it was cliche"!!!! Except it was, because we'd all already figured it out, and the movie was terrible.

I pray to god, that nobody else ever watches this movie. Do something else instead, literally anything else. Go cycling, spend time with your family, or even jam your limbs into a blender (I promise it'll still be less painful than watching this).

Saw it on Netflix and they use the only decent 30 seconds of acting as the preview, to lure you in. They are lying to you, the movie is not actually decent, it is horrible.

Now, I have to go wash out my eyes with bleach and then attend my hypnosis sessions to try and forget I ever saw this *_*

Surely a parody.
iamtherobotman17 October 2019
What starts out as a standard Baby sitter thriller, quickly descends into a 'Scary Movie' type parody...Only, it isn't a parody...at least i don't think it is.

Great start, epic failure.
Pjs4real7 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This started really well with a fine plot build and a competent cast. The problems started with the writers defying logic with the leading actress refusing to contact her employers to ask who the fake made was. The next point of improbability occurred when our villainess killed the lead characters girlfriend, someone who was young and took spin class, by stepping on her shoulder and forcing her down on a broken shard. What would have happened is an epic beating for the killer, this was just trash. Who writes these things? They ruined a perfectly good thriller.

Reasons to not waste your time on this film!
Rinoreview1211 September 2020
This was the worst film in the history of horror films.
  • Ugly lead actress with a misshaped head.
  • Very predictable, suspenseful music using the piano was necessary.
  • Unnecessary extras (pizza guy and policeman)
  • The friends death was really stupid but perhaps deserved to die like this because she thought she was protecting herself with a cork screw.
  • Should have casted an actual kid to play the kids role not a well groomed 50 year old.

What should have happened:
  • The policeman finds the creepy pizza guy jerking off in the corner of the room.

Plays like a horror parody
LaverneandShirleysucks25 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
You can see who the killer is a mile away, but that's not the worst. A killer is outside a Beverly Hills mansion and the stupid girls inside tie the doors shut with bed sheets while right next to them is the home alarm system they can simply activate to get the police lol.

Then one stupid girl is standing right next to a block of knives while the killer is in the room and she completely ignores them to hide behind a counter with a tiny wine opener. It HAS to have been filmed as a parody because it's just hysterical!

Also, the maid comes in, wipes down one kitchen counter and says she's done for the day and leaves lmao. Yet the red flags don't go up for the dim blond babysitter.

These Lifetime movies are so bad, but still entertaining to watch because of how bad they are. When the killer is revealed I doubt anyone watching gasped in surprise and if they did gasp, it was most likely a big fat yawn. 1 star.

High Quality Film
Kristamw21 February 2019
This was a really good movie with strong acting, excellent chemistry between all of the actors, and a sharp story line. Character Development/Writing Quality: Superb. Brittany Underwood (Daphne) is reminiscent of Brittany Snow's "Donna" in Prom Night--same excellent credible acting skills with endearing qualities that make these main characters likeable. The characters in this film--Daphne, Toby, the boy she is babysitting, and Kaci, her best friend--work so well together, all with commendable acting prowess; the dangerous situation they face, of a lurking killer outside Toby's home, brings forth amazing character growth as we see, primarily in Daphne and Toby, the two MCs, and outstanding instantaneous decision-making as the sudden shifts in their environment progress. The story is a strong one with a surprising twist that comes near the middle. Characters are smart, not stupid, ready for whatever comes next. Values: Protecting all that is good. Content (sex, language & violence): No sex. No language. The death scenes are a bit disturbing. Scare factor/Suspense: Good suspense throughout, especially with the creepy delivery guy and then later with the frequent disturbances in the house, clearly pointing to an intruder. A high quality film that is worth your time.

Its decent
ismaeelbuttib16 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I know many people dont like it and I dont say I do but it is quite decwnt and has some actual intense scenes. I watched this on netflix and noticed some plot holes but the suspense is real and that is what they went for. Lastly, I think the dumbest thing was when they bolted all the doors but they knew the murderer was inside.

Creepy people should not be ignored!
NijazBaBs7 May 2019
This movie is about too typical horror, thriller, crime, and mystery stuff. Bad thing is that it is too typical regarding story and acting. Some details are ignored, ignorant, and do not make sense. Some explanatory and expected things are just skipped. But the lesson that is teaches us all is good enough. Lesson is to beware of creepy people who are creeping us out, even on the first sight. Such people give us feeling of fear which is just an indicator that something is not right. Ordinary pizza man or cleaning lady could be our killer and even serial killer! Never ignore the signs!
