Ehh
tomfsloan8 November 2018
It wasn't good and it wasn't bad. It was just plain old Ehh. The acting was ok. But early in the movie one scene was out of focus. Come on! They needed to give more reasons why the antagonist was bad. The climatic chase scene at the end could have been better. It needed more work. Don't watch it live. Record it and then watch it so you can fast forward through the commercials. That way you will only spend and hour and a half watching this instead of the full two hours.

" He Said , She Said "

I just don't know what to say about this movie, it kind of annoyed me , this constant back and forth with what is the truth and what is'nt .

Lead character Josie , seemed a bit dim , despite the fact that she is portrayed as a smart business woman. But, to fall for lie after lie , just made her seem so gullable and naive.

I think the writers here were trying too hard to create a mystery , but just ended up making the whole thing a bit manic and over complicated , for what turned out to be a fairly predictable ending.

The full on music throughtout was totally unnecessary, and , again I think that they were just trying to create a ' Hitchcock' atmosphere by playing this, but it did'nt work.

The whole movie was just all over the place , not for me !

Terrible !

Absolutely heart-breaking that an actress of Marguerite Moreau's standard agreed to play a role that made her look like the the world's dumbest woman !. I love Marguerite Moreau, she's a superb actress but whoever advised her to take this part needs shot ! Firstly she believed everything her ex-husband told her - obviously unable to remember her previous experience with him which ended in divorce - but then believes everything his new wife told her - and all without seeing any factual proof from either of them, just took them both at their word ??. Then her best friend gets murdered yet within the hour she's cheerfully agreeing to go to dinner with her ex ??. I know these kind of films aren't 'Oscar-level' but Dear God ....... Hopefully Marguerite Moreau has since sacked her agent !

Truly pathetic ending

Good movie till about last 20 minutes. Very poor female lead and just horrible last 20 minutes. Could've been a hit with some common sense writing.

True Grit
lavatch30 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Michael Robertson's career took off and he rose to become the CEO of a corporation due to a "secret" that he discovered about successful people. For Michael, it is grit and determination that are the keys. That secret will be put to the test in "Ex-Wife Killer" (a.k.a., "Eyewitness").

One of our favorite actresses, Marguerite "Lifetime" Moreau, plays the role of Michael's ex-wife Josie, who has all of the true grit that Michael believes is at the heart of success. Because her flower shop (named "Josie's Flowers") is so successful, Michael wants to turn it into a franchise. The only apparent hurdle is Michael's other ex-wife, Laura, who would appear to be stalking Josie and possibly even planning on killing her.

The filmmakers created a good set of supporting characters around the triangle of Michael, Josie, and Laura. There is Josie's able assistant, Bradley, who confesses that he has fallen in love with her and is peremptorily rebuffed. Bradley has a bit of temper, which makes him suspicious when Josie is being harassed. There is also Josie's bestie, Hannah, who just happens to be the realtor handling the sale of Michael's home. Hannah sadly pays the ultimate price when she seeks to uncover Michael's secret life and becomes the key eyewitness of the film's title.

There was effective location filming on a beautiful California vineyard, especially in the climactic scene. Josie always had the dream of living an idyllic life on a vineyard. Her favorite flower was the dahlia, which symbolizes inner strength and creativity. Michael appropriately names the estate the Dahlia Vineyard after Josie. The only unanswered question at the end is whether Josie would ever want to live in that vineyard or to remain content in the world of Josie's Flowers. The answer to that question lies in her true grit.

Good Movie

Warning: Spoilers
This was a good movie, though it was quite easy to figure out the mystery. Here and there you won't be sure you're right, but the truth will always be in the back of your mind.

There was one thing I truly didn't understand. Josie knew Michael had cameras in his house and that most happenings were recorded, when something bad went on inside the house, why didn't she tell the police about the cameras so they could check out exactly what had gone on?

I guess they don't do what makes sense in most movies because then it would end too soon.
