This show is at its peak performance right now and this episode proves it. At last we got to see real identity of Deke . The show is getting better day by day and very excited for what is coming next.

The Best Way to encapsulate 100 episodes of S.H.I.E.L.D.
joegordon0110 March 2018
Warning: Spoilers
From all the advertising and reminiscing that has been going on this past week in preparation for the big 100, I could not help but be incredibly excited for this episode. This can sometimes blind audiences with the thrill about what is being presented clouding our objective judgement of the quality. This however was not that at all.

There was references and Easter eggs galore, fan favourites and such making perfectly placed appearances, a solid plot that I thought may be to much to contain to an episode but was handled well, great dialogue, immense pain and also incredible joy thanks to the brilliant acting of the entire cast, and an ending to be remembered.

Also, without giving to much away, the reveal at the end was one of the most shocking and unexpected that I have ever seen and gave me such glee that I am still on an adrenaline high whilst writing this. The quality of some comic book TV shows have really been wavering in recent years but Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D has always been getting better and this episode was a testament to how far they've come since broadcasting from alleyways and bickering in planes.

BRILLIANT!! EPIC!!

Well, when we watch a new episode of S. H. I. E. L. D you think this is the best episode ever, this one was no less as we celebrate it's 100th episode.

Best casting, writers and producers among other professionals are applauded for this great TV-Show. I don't want to think about how good this has been for it to come to an end, speculating about the infinity wars but anyway its been always a 9 or 10 over ten for the awesome plots and goosebumps we get after even a recap of the the "previously from the agents of shield" hahah which is usually fantastic.

This simply the best TV show, period.

Enjoy the 100th episode with the excitement of a bride and groom on their wedding day, wink ;-) *

My favorite episode ever (Re-watch thoughts)
noorea-8514724 April 2019
This is my favorite episode of the show, and possibly of any TV show ever, it's by no means perfect, but it felt so to me, every part of it felt like a love letter written to me personally, they don't bring back as many characters as I expected or lean back as heavily on nostalgia as other shows would, but to me that kind of makes it better, see the reason I love this show is its uncanny ability to give me things I didn't know I wanted and I end up loving them more than if they would have given me what I thought I wanted ..I know it doesn't make sense but basically the show doesn't just give fan service, it tells the story it wants to tell and gives the fans some things they want without completely halting the story to do so.This episode takes time to celebrate the past of the show, but without neglecting building up the rest of the season and the future of these characters where all of that flaws naturally with the story so a person who doesn't know it's the 100th wouldn't feel confused. I haven't seen many shows that do that. And they also managed to not simply rely on the surprise factor, because while the surprises got me the first time I watched it, they still got me during re-watch because they were well done. The episode also break our hearts into a million pieces but still manages to give us some really joyful scenes that warms the soul. I cry every time I watch it, the last 5 minutes in particular are so perfect it is unbelievable! The acting in this episode was simply great, Chloe and Clark were the standouts in the first 30 minutes, but then Iain and Elizabeth crushed it too in the last 10 minutes, also quick shutout to Natalia who had only brief presence in the episode but was still able to deliver a powerful performance. Seriously though, everyone brought their A game to this episode. I don't want to spoil the cameos this episode had, because it had only one major character return (two actually because Davis is a treasure!) which wasn't many fans' first choice, not mine either, however it made the most thematic and story sense so kudos to the writers again, staying true to the themes of the show, I appreciate it to no end. I can talk forever about how much I love this episode, and I'm sure I will for years to come. like I said it's not perfect, I know some people might have wanted something bigger in scale, more cameos and nostalgia, but to me it hit the perfect tone and balance, I really wish more people felt the same.

Every show makes you cry at one episode

Warning: Spoilers
Every show makes you cry at one episode, this episode makes me cry with joy three times. Colson facing his fear, Jemma's vows, and the rings. There is something so touching about this episode. I think this would have been an amazing final episode.

Shocked.

Warning: Spoilers
A beautiful episode. From beginning to end. In just forty minutes so much happened.... It is a kind of "beginning of the end". The action slows down for a moment, only to accelerate again in a moment, and so much so that the viewer until he runs out of breath. Definitely one of the best episodes. Charged with action, but also "calm" (okay, not counting that breach in space-time and Jemma Simmons, who turned out to be a robot). Anyway, I'm proud. I feel that the best is yet to come. Elena has gone a bit sideways, but I'm not complaining, I'm sure she'll be back in Agents of Shield for good in a while.

I like where it's headed but inconsistencies are annoying
tigerlilyrose-9697512 March 2018
I like where this season is going but this episode had some issues.

Coulson goes from unshaven, to shaven, then unshaven again in the same day...small thing but irritating. Scenes feel chopped up. Why hasn't YoYo told Mack what she knows? There have been opportunities for her to give info. Seems deliberate by Writers instead of natural to story.

The only exciting thing here was the previews for the next episode!!!
larosat-3282111 March 2018
Warning: Spoilers
What a misbegotten episode. Boring, uneventful and lacking anything approaching entertainment. So we learn Phil's dying!! Big surprise. The 100th indeed; of the same type of science fiction trope we've seen 100 times before. It took me 3 hours to watch because I had to put something else on to stay awake. A 9.7 on IMDB?? Preposterous. Man I hope this, well long it's expiration date show finally gats cancelled.

Agents of shield 100th episode delivers
owenchou10 March 2018
Warning: Spoilers
So we all knew something big was going to happen. Coulsens real deal with the ghost rider is finall revealed which is pretty cool. But When the whole crew found out he was dying, there is some pretty solid acting from everyone. Escpecially Chloe Bennet and Clark Gregg were so good in those touching moments where they discuss the future of shield without coulsen. Also, deke was pretty funny as usual. I really enjoy that fish out of water dynamic with his character. Some great cameos with deathlok and hive was also nice to see. But its really the ending of this episode that will stick in fans head forever. A moment that we all saw coming. Fitz and Simmons getting married was a very sweet and toughing moment. After 5 years of ups and downs, this moment was truely earned. And later revealing that deke was their grandson was also a nice reveal that I did not expect. So all in all, this episode was pretty amazing and it was pretty special

The Real Deal
bobcobb3011 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Another episode that relies on a few sarcastic lines to think viewers are seeing good TV, when the jokes can't mask some bad storytelling.

Coulson may die in the season finale, I wouldn't be surprised if that is the direction they are heading, but that's not the kind of storyline we want right now. At least I know that I just want some serious sci-fi action.

No Budget??
Ernestoxx12 March 2018
Why all those cut scenes? A lot are happening and then jumping to another scene. It doesnt show as what is going on, how they got there and so on. Too many skips.

100th episode
StephenRcribb19 May 2021
As for 100 episode specials go this was pretty on the dull side. Other tv shows such as Buffy and Angel featured main character deaths and battles. Here we get the first half which is just arguing and disagreeing, Phil learns he's dying and second half events feature a reunion of a few characters we not seen in a while.

None of this makes 9 or ten out of ten viewing. The wedding doesn't exactly pull on your emotions like the writers would hope. We know they're capable of that and we've seen it before but it certainly feels out of place here and is only happening to coincide with the 100th episode.

I hope for more improvement for the remainder of season five.
