The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About Halloween! (2016) is a movie my daughter and I recently watched on Amazon Prime. The storyline for this follows The Cat in the Hat trying to teach Nick and Sally that fear isn't a bad thing and can be used to their benefit. He takes them on an adventure to a scary house that has a closet that contains their dream Halloween costumes, but will they be brave enough to enter the closet and get them. This movie is directed by Paul Hunt (The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot about Camping) and contains the voices of Martin Short (Three Amigos), Alexa Torrington (The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot about That), Jacob Ewaniuk (Ludo) and Rob Tinkler (The Tuxedo). The storyline for this was relatively fun for a Halloween themed childrens movie and had a few good lessons sprinkled in here and there. We enjoyed the animation, characters and use of colors. The settings always capture the imagination well. The voices are well selected and fit the characters. Overall the premise is just okay and this is a slightly above average holiday themed family movie. I'd recommend seeing it once and would score it a 6/10.
