There were elements of the pilot episode that felt far-fetched to me (at least, I HOPE in reality it's far-fetched but maybe not...). It does a good job of setting up major characters and creating a little mystery and intrigue.

By the end of the first episode. We get to the point that the movie got to in 5 minutes.

Three Days of the Condor is an influential paranoid conspiracy thriller of the 1970s. It's main draw was that it's lead actor, Robert Redford was at the time the world's number one box office star.

Max Irons follows in Redford's footsteps as Joe Turner. He is younger and greener. His computer algorithm has been used by the CIA to track terrorists on home soil when it was designed for other purposes.

However Joe has stumbled into something else linked to a plot to release a biological weapon in a football stadium.

The expanded television serial format will certainly give it room to breath. It will also mean this will not be a high octane thriller.

The first episode revealed certain false flag information and double crossers early on. I am sure this will be layered with more conspiracies.

It only ever got going in the last 5 minutes.
