Fitting end
c_sims7617 May 2019
Very few shows make it to a true series finale. Not to mention make one that fits the show and sums everything up. This was a proper ending. Thank you for all the memories 😢

Greatest shows ends perfectly.

Re-runs are inevitable- that's for sure. This 2 part finale ended so beautifully that I had tears in my eyes. Nobody can imagine a sitcom endes with such powerful emotional impact. Thank you once again Big Bang. Thank you for being part of my life.

Perfect ending

A fitting finale to a great show. I cried at the end. I started watching Big Bang in middle school and now I'm a senior in college. I grew up with these amazing characters and I can't possibly describe how much I loved the ending. But I just want you guys to know, in my way, I love you all.

A great conclusion to an epic comedy saga

No show has ever made a big impact on pop culture than The Big Bang Theory. The two-part finale, which aired not too long ago, features laughter, sadness, and a few cameos. It's worthy of recording on your DVR.

Finally a worthy ending

Warning: Spoilers
After watching another series ending disappointingly I was apprehensive going into watching this series ending hoping that it was a better ending. I wasn't disappointed it was a fitting end to a brilliant show. It made me well up and laugh in all the right places. The appearance of the children made me smile and the cameos were well received. In short I loved it!!!

Touching
Hitchcoc4 December 2021
Nice next to last episode. Yes, Sheldon shows all the symptoms of the spectrum and it is not easy to accept change. By the same token, the world doesn't begin and end with him. The reporters are a fact of life and leaving was probably the right thing to do. His friends were a little cruel. Sheldon has gotten dressed up for major events in the past, so Amy's wanting to look nice wasn't that huge a slap. Anyway, while this show was hit and miss at times, it was a great example of creativity in comedy. Let's finish it off with a big bang!

I finally laughed

Warning: Spoilers
It was my first laugh of season 12... I usually don't like slapstick comedy or violence but when Leonard slapped Sheldon, I didn't expect it and the movement was nice so I laughed.

The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded in Norway, while the Nobel Prizes in Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine and Literature are awarded in Stockholm, Sweden.

Am I the only one that finds it mean?
Paarden77716 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I thought the episode itself was pretty alright. It's just pretty much every moment including Sheldon or people talking about him that makes me angry.

''But why?'' you may ask, ''Do you really hate the character so much?''

And the thing is, no, not at all. There are enough things about Sheldon that I don't like, and he is surely not my favorite character, but there is one thing that makes that I have much more patience with him then most of the other characters of even the audience seems to have. I know many people with autism, or similar disorders, making it easier for me to understand Sheldon in situations that other people would just see him as weird, rude or difficult. And that's the problem that I have with this episode.

Sheldon gets overwhelmed by everything that happens and doesn't quite know what to do. Many people, autistic or not, have problems with change. So a big change like this, even if it is because of something positive, can be quite overwhelming or scary, but almost everyone just says that he is being difficult or overreacting, the most help he gets is the conversation with Penny, and she isn't even actively trying to help him but is using his distress to fuel her drinking game.

And at the same time Amy decides that now, when her husband is stressed, scared and overwhelmed by all the changes, is the time to stop taking his feelings into account and just do it how she (or actually all of them) want to, even if that upsets him. And it is true that they shouldn't make themselves very uncomfortable just to please him, but why do they decide to do this immediately and at the very worst time, instead of having done this ages ago or waiting just a couple more weeks.

And Amy knew that Sheldon was like this when she married him, the fact that she now changes herself into a completely different person(outward appearance, behavior, etc.) and doesn't want to adjust herself to her husbands needs anymore, feels very mean. She knows him, she knows he always has had trouble with change, why not take his wishes into account and just slowly change some things, giving him some time to adjust before doing to next thing, this way she gets what she want and he doesn't get overly stressed. The ''many 300 tiny haircuts over a 10 year period'' comment of Amy was an insane exaggeration.

Now it feels like Sheldon made the decision that Amy was the woman he could feel safe with and that he could grow old with and married her, only for her to change completely into a person he might not feel safe and understood with at all.

BBT finale - part 1
studioAT20 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
So, after 12 series (I would argue it perhaps went on a little too long) 'The Big Bang Theory' began its 2 part finale here.

It's a nice sweet start, with all the warmth and humour we have come to expect.

The show is clearly playing to its main strength by this point in Sheldon, and Jim Parsons (whose willingness to move on is in part the reason this is the finale) delivers Sheldon's willingness for things to stay the same with a touching sincerity.

The scene in the bar is perhaps the best scene of this first half.

1st of all: Actually, Sweden is RIGHT!
baaspitter17 March 2021
... Only the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo, Norway. The other ones in Stockholm, Sweden. I am so sorry the show is over, and I don't like Sheldon's speech. It's so cheesy, exactly what to expect from a US show, geez! Also, I did not like Leonard, needy, pathetic and whiny as he is. Amy's my princess, and I really live Sheldon. So sorry it's over. Loved that show.

It's in Norway.

A whole army of writers and assistance and not a single one manage to get it right that the Nobel prize is In Norway. Not in Sweden. It's like saying Washington is in Canada. Get your crap together Hollywood, every single time.

The Change Constant
bobcobb30117 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The first half of the finale for the biggest show of the 2010's took place here. From the first moment it felt like a true series finale which is good.

More laughs than usual, but still, if you compare Bang to the elite comedies now or even during its run it doesn't hold up. This still felt special though.
