Weak
bdbj7718 January 2019
This was a weak episode. Please don't have Bernadette featured in any future episodes. Her character spoils what was an original show.

It was funny. Why so much hate?
perlshop23 January 2019
It was much better than the last episode for sure. Yes, anything involving Bernadette isn't all that funny but it's still better than the soap opera of Raj and Anu which is just boring as f.

Sheldon's story was quite funny and heart warming but the funniest were the two unscrupulous scientists. I hope we can see more of them in future.

Not Bad
Hitchcoc2 December 2021
This is actually a kind of touching episode. A couple of guys who have little knowledge horn in on a possible Nobel Prize that Amy and Sheldon deserve. One of them is Sean Astin who was Samwise in "Lord of the Rings." They are deciding to not back off and this would mean Amy would be cut out. The much less interesting plot element is Bernadette gettin the go ahead on a new pill. She decides to get Penny to head the sales team. Bernadette is a really cruel person.

Its a ok episode but why is bernadette so mean in the series!
maynard_jr22 October 2023
Why did they make bernadette's character so mean she was so nice in the begining of the series. She cares only for herself and they did wrong by having any kind of episode around her. Theres a reason she's the most hated person on the big bang theory. But the episode is ok take away her scenes. Bern started out nice and sweet but it took a turn when she started to yell and sound like howards mom then it went downhill. Always bugged me that when she was a waitress then all of a sudden she finished college and right away she got a high paying job like theres companies that scope people out like that especially when she wasnt anything special but i guess the writers figured better story. Oh and penny getting a high paying job too even though she totally failed on the interview because penny and the interview guy were scared of bern at the end. Its just silly so in the end they make it so the girls are making more money than howard, lenard and sheldon. One episode had penny saying she made 2 x more than leonard and the same with bernie and howard. Ive watched this series many times but some thing are just annoying. The reviewer that gave this a 9/10 LOL there's no episode better than a 8 at most.

Forget the other IMDB critics of this episode 13 season 12 - it was one of the better epiosdes of this season
Ed-Shullivan19 January 2019
I am not sure if the previous five (5) reviews I just read were watching the same episode but Mrs. Shullivan and I watched it and we were in agreement that it reminded us of some earlier seasons when Sheldon seemed to be the focus but his co-stars stole the show.

In this episode the cat and mouse game between Bernadette and Penny was certainly entertaining to see if Penny would cave and come work for Bernadette to head her new sales team for the new drug she just had approved. There was also the old reliable and very selfish and self-centered Sheldon wanting so much to win a Nobel prize even if it meant he would have to dump his new bride Amy Farrah Fowler off the accreditation, but even Sheldon's heart is eventually bigger than his own ego.

Mrs. Shullivan and I both liked this episode and the signal by which we measure each episode's success is when we lose track of the time and its over almost as soon as it started because it was so darn entertaining. It was an added bonus to have film stars Sean Astin and Kal Penn play the two competing physicists competing for Sheldon and Amy's deserving Nobel prize. This episode proves that The Big Bang Theory still has that magic Emmy touch.

A solid 9 out of 10 rating. Forget what the previous five (5) critics had to say about The Confirmation Polarization. Shame on you!

It was fast paced and with about 2x events as average ep. in last seasons

Folks, this is a comedy, with overdone people flaws. Really don't see what is the problem of reviewers with 'mean, manipulative' Bernadette. Especially in case of young women like her - it was only way for her to make some carrier, and as in this episode was 'pointed on' to get married and what goes after it :-)

This episode was pretty much stingy - not sparing scientists, their administrators, whole Nobel Prize awarding process, pharmacy industry and even some running TV serials.

If something was weak for me it was Jim Parsons. Somehow seems not enjoying this anymore, and his acting becomes just a rutine. Perhaps script is what is not by his taste.

Nobel Prize ceremony as final ep. of serial ? I would not like it. Or, if there would be some really good twist with it - like some other of main characters getting it, then I could be fine with it. Best Sheldon is unhappy Sheldon :-)

if you didn't hate Bernadette before...
otter6818 January 2019
Bernadette being a mean, manipulative termagant is not funny. It never was. The first few episodes she was in, she was not that way, but for some reason, the writers made her despicable. The parts with Sheldon were good, but the parts with mean Bernie were not, so 5 stars.

The Confirmation Polarization

Warning: Spoilers
Not a terrible episode, but when you have Bernadette in one of the key storylines you are destined for disaster. If only Penny headed her advice and did not actually agree to work with her.

I like the show actually giving us arcs that span multiple episodes though. Curious to see how the whole Nobel issue plays out.

Stale beyond the pale.....enough hate and manipulation.
This season has gone beyond the funny and turned the series into pure hate and manipulation of the characters. It is awful and not funny at all.
