Back Where It Belongs

I'm so glad this show has rebounded after last week's terrible episode "Vietnam." This one is packed with the kind of thought-provoking, deeply poignant scenes that we've come to live and expect. Bravo!

Kate is no good

Jack what a character that impossible to get enough him which makes this show one of the best ever. After seeing how Jack died, it puts quite sadness on me though whenever I see him. He has always been perfect.

However in this show Kate is the only character I cannot stand, cannot stand any version of her except little childhood. Better if she is shown less especially present time. And yes by the way, her stupidity and selfishness have a role on Jack's death, she better never forgive herself about this.

The Die Is Cast

There are three plot developments here. The first is a portrayal of Toby as a young boy. He is chubby and funny and full of depression. His mother and father like him but are not close. He and Kate are waiting the news as to whether the IVF worked. They are down to their last chance. Toby, off his meds, is supposed to be home but gets into his video game thing--one of the things that ruined his first marriage. He is off his meds and is really manic. Randall, disappointed by his councilman, decides to run against him, but he doesn't anticipate the little things that people hang on to. He is so awful when he has an agenda and seems so phony. Beth, meanwhile, loses her job to budget cuts after 12 years. Kevin and Zoe take a trip to meet one of his father's army mates and he learns a lot about his dad.

Hollywood racism, elitism, awful.

Warning: Spoilers
Writers really need to get out more and realize that racism isn't just white to black, or white to Hispanic. Racism is present in all races, however today's writers don't seem to understand that. So many things wrong with this episode. Racism is apparently not a problem in NYC, but drive south and hit Baltimore, some backwoods white store clerk doesn't like a mixed couple. Yee-haw. And black people are going to flock to free BBQ, but ignore the fact that their congressman is ignoring their plight. And they had to make sure they got in that Randall's white date's father was a racist. Randall and his family are my favorite characters on this show; they deserve better than this group of writers.
