Iconic ending made this the best episode yet
Geekofriendly5 October 2020
My goodness, whenever I get goosebumps in front of the TV, I know somebody did something right.

The ending made me feel that rarest of feelings. Love.

I am full-on rooting for Holden Ford, Bill Tench, and Dr. Wendy Carr. The otherwise deliberately unrushed pace of the series was accentuated with a stellar surprise ending that left everybody (including us, the viewers) with a big, deserved smile on their face. Beautifully executed in every possible way, from the low-key acting to the cinematography, editing and soundtrack.

Mindhunter is, unsurprisingly, masterfully playing me like a fiddle. And I am having a great time!

The FBI as a Roadblock
Hitchcoc20 October 2017
First of all, who is that guy that we see at the start of every episode? What is he up to? We then transition into the story. The boys continue to investigate Monte Rissell, who killed five women in cold blood. He is a poster child for his own victimization. They have come upon a case of a young blonde woman in a small town who was brutally murdered. Their methods lead them to a man, a welder, who was taken with the young woman. As is their wont, they leave further investigation to the locals. As a viewer, this is a bit frustrating, but the analysis that we hear is very engaging. We also get to know more about Bill. He is the adoptive father of a seemingly severely autistic little boy. There is serious tension between him and his wife. The well-known psychologist who works with them quizzes them on why they can't throw their entire weight into the fray. It leads to a mixed blessing when it comes to funding. Along with the support comes great responsibility. Once again, well done.

Intriguing

This episode have several good points and its pretty interesting to follow. It have a lot of psychology case with a lot of behavior analysis. I enjoyed it. It was a good episode. They studied a lot about father and mother and the impact of missing father and mother with autority. A nice overview.

Holt McCallany is a Revelation
chrisjay773 September 2019
The moment they sit down with the guy is Mr. McCallany's magnum opus. They way he lays it out straight to him: "What's the rest of your day look like?" Fantastic acting. His role as The Beast in Shot Caller was my favorite role of his, but he didn't get enough screen time in that movie. He's the reason I watch Mindhunter. This dude is a fantastic actor and I'm glad he finally got a prominent role like this.

The Final Five Minutes

Like the car accident scene, the last 5 minutes of the episode hit me out of NOWHERE! Definitely not expecting what came to pass.

Love this show! Nice to see Olivia Dunham in another role as well! LOL.

Episode 4

Warning: Spoilers
The show was not quite the same without Ed being interviewed, but it was still another solid episode of the show. We need some more character development though. I get the slow build and I get the attention to detail, but eventually it will get repetitive, and we may be at that point now. We need some development to keep watching.

Slower

A somewhat slower and more familiar episode than the previous ones, but not without merit. Call me weird but I'm finding the academic angle the most enthralling part of this show.

A little slow

This episode felt a little slower than previous episodes, still an interesting storyline and good dialogue banter.

Wendy wants her status known
debejere4 September 2019
Against - bland Wendy is trying so hard to say I am gay. It is a joy just watching all her rocks and turn a the looks on faces. We shall see - wont we. This should be interesting.
