I am glad Mike stood his ground - his daughter(s) has/have no right to demand of their parents - who own the house - his wife, however, does; Rereading his vows to her was the right way to handle. Great job, writers!

Just a lame attempt to be hip by referencing vaping

The episode the first time and every time thereafter just looks naive by treating the addiction of vaping as nothing to be concerned about, as the series does with wine (both the adult lead actors own wineries in real life). Yet wine got a few bad reviews on the series, but not vaping?
Really? Your daughter is 22 years old and you think you have the right to confiscate her vape pen?

I love this show, with all my heart, but even the greatest shows can have an episode or two that you dislike, and this is one of them. Tim Allen says to Mandy "Either give me the vape pen or give me the house key."
I consider myself to be a conservative like any other, but if your daughter is 22 years old that makes her a legal adult, she has every right to vape. It's not like vaping leaves residue. If I was Mandy I would've just replied "How about neither." And I am very respectful towards my elders but this was completely unreasonable.
The issue goes further when he finds out his wife is smoking. I can tell you from observation that a lot of conservatives smoke tobacco. So it's kinda inconsistent for a show that is aimed at conservatives to promote an anti vaping and anti smoking agenda. Anti marijuana I could see, but this makes no sense and is inconsistent with the conservative ideology.
