Thought it would be a good movie, with all the high ratings, what a shock. Poor acting, poor script, if fact everything was poor. Better to go and watch the traffic.

Was I watching the same film as the other reviewers? This was awful! Sound, especially outside was very bad.....found it strange that the character of Tasha had the same God-awful hairdo for years, and the same eyeglasses. The acting was marginal at best. I went to see the film because I am a Delaware native and was interested to see the different sites. This film could have been done anywhere...Delaware really was not a point of interest in the story. Very disappointed!

The ratings and reviews here at imdb are a joke and must have been the director's family and friends registering from different email addresses at imdb. The big hint is not that the reviews are stellar but that they are short, refer to nothing in specific terms and there are only 14 of them as of three years after the release. Fourteen, count 'em. And of 542 ratings, 89.3% are 10's and 9's??? I mean... the 10's and 9's for Schindler's List added up to 68.9%. Another hint: the highest ratings were left by the under-18 years old group.
The acting is infantile and insulting to the viewer but maybe the director should take a lot of the blame for that. Even a complete juvenile amateur would have felt ashamed to have directed those actors the way these were, and to have left the garbage takes in the movie. On the other hand, had he left the garbage takes out of the movie there would have been no movie...
The choice of camera angles and lenses were made by somebody who was unaware that his takes were later to be edited together in continuity. Also, the cinematographer should take classes on composition and the use of extreme wide-angle lenses. Did they shoot this film with a smartphone? (that was a real question seriously asked by my wife while we were watching). Someone should point out to them that the credit should read "Cinematographer" or "Director of Photography", not "Director of Cinematography". I must congratulate the Assistant Director and the Second Assistant Director for finding their titles in fortune cookies at the end-of-shoot celebratory Chinese takeout.
There is nothing that could be seriously said about this movie except perhaps that my wife and I were convinced we were watching a first semester Film School project until we realized it was not that but was supposed to be an actual movie.
The premise and plot could have actually made a very good movie. If they were explored at all. The story was good. But in this movie it is completely lost in the mayhem of Direction and Cinematography. I am not blaming the Editor because he obviously had nothing to work with -the cutting room floor must be wet with his tears.
OK, I'll say something nice: The front and end title sequences were very nicely done. What's between them, though, is a complete waste of time.
IMDB should do a better job of controlling the ratings and reviews when they are so glaringly false and a put-up promotional job.

This movie had my attention right through the very end. I wasn't to familiar with the actors, actresses but they all gave brilliant performances. We need more movies like this where the script can hold it's own and not flop mid-way.

Wow... be prepared to be on an emotional rollercoaster with this one. This movie explores many topics untouched - that's a good thing. Beautiful location, I had no idea where Delaware Shore was till i did more research but it just added more depth to the film. In all I think it's a great film to catch at the cinemas or on dvd.

I just seen this at a premiere in LA and it's pretty darn good. The film is basically about a a holocaust survivor who escapes the camps and finds refuge at a Delaware Beach, things get complex from there but this is where the story starts. I don't want to give out any spoilers but this film really is a must see. Thumbs up to the in-depth acting and to the production team.

This is a touchy subject to make a movie on but I think they did great. A heartfelt, thought provoking movie. Well crafted, I believe some of the actors have been nominated for Oscars so congrats to them! A must watch.

Delaware Shore (2018) directed by Raghav Peri. It's 98 mins Dramatic thought provoking movie. A Holocaust survivor who escapes the concentration camps finds refuge on a secluded Delaware Beach and how she survives. A film full of wonderful characters. Especially the way story is narrated adds a lot to the film. The rhythmic background music contributes to the atmosphere. From the beginning it draws the viewers attention. Absolutely remarkable direction. Memorable performance by lead actors Gail Wagner, Emily McKinley Hill & James Robinson Jr. Marvelous details that you might not catch on first viewing. MUST WATCH MOVIE!!

I didn't know what to expect after watching the trailer but I was impressed once I had seen it on the big screen. The team did a great job with the cinematography, music and the script. I usually find it hard to sit through a movie longer then seventy minutes but this is one of those films I could sit through without getting antsy. This is a film about your inner-self, feelings, emotions and survival. Thanks for making this.

I have never been so captivated by a lead in a drama as much as I was Gail. She had me truly believing that Agnes was a real person and was terrible. Her line delivery carried the movie for me, personally. I believed everything that came out of her characters mouth, as well as her body language. I could tell that Gail is a seasoned actor and I cannot wait to see more art starring her. Phenomenal job, Gail!!!

Delaware Shore definitely is a very moving, sensitive, thought provoking and touching film that will keep you engaged from start to finish as it deals with the realities of the human condition and experience! With the subject matter, it encourages us to confront our own thoughts, feeling and behaviors as it pertains to the complex issues of life! The movie takes you on an emotional ride but unfolds a soothing and satisfying climax and ending. The Acting was phenomenal, it was well written, well directed, well edited, well shot and the score enhance every scene making it an awesome theatrical experience I can see why this is a Multi Award-Winning film that is getting rave reviews around the world! Kudos to the entire cast, crew and production team! It is definitely one of the Best Pictures of the Year! It is a must see!

Just seen good reviews about this film on a popular review blog so I gave it a go.
I loved the character build-ups and the location was beautiful. For a debut film Raghav Peri did great, looking forward to more movies from him. Respect!

This story was both heartbreaking and endearing at the same time. The script writing in my opinion could have been better, in that it reflected the writer's inexperience in life and in human communication and interaction, and the acting was less than stellar, but nonetheless it appeals to the heart, and to nearly every person's understanding of hardship and trauma in life.
I would however have liked to have had a deeper, more detailed understanding of what granny experienced in her life. The holocaust was a horrible time in human history which left marks on every survivor without a doubt, and which I pray to God will never happen again, but the ending left me wanting to understand more of what she experienced, and for her to be able to come to a point or acceptance and resolution with it.
