I wanna know what the director was smoking while in Europe filming this shitshow.

This movie fails on so many levels.Looks like all bollywood can make these days is how to break marriages and make people cheat on their partners.I would suggest you to grab a beer with that money or spend some good time with your family or dog. They would certainly love your company instead of wasting time on this heartless, soulless movie.

Waste of Time and Energy.
kinshuk-gaur7 August 2017
Imitaiz Ali is a director who has given some fresh breath of air to his love stories and some are excellent like Jab We Met, Love Aajkal and Rockstar. But lately he is also in a syndrome of serving the same old trash with an altered packaging. Jab Hary Met Sejal is a complete disaster coming after Tamasha. Tamasha still was better in the content.

Jab Hary Met Sejal biggest drawback is that it does not have any story but just bits and pieces of certain instants fused together. Scenes of Jab We Met, Tamsaha and Love Aajkal amalgamated together as moments. The plot is wafer thin that it will leave you speculating. This is the story , Hary is a tourist guide and is verge on completion and departing one of his tour. At this instance one of the tour member Sejal a Gujrati girl insist Hary to help her find her lost engagement ring that she misplaced during the tour. Almost 90% of the movie revolve around Hary and Sejal looking for the ring around the picturesque location of Europe encountering with some misdemeanors.

This movie is so boring that even 20 minutes in the movie you feel its ages. Shahrukh Khan and Anushka are the only two who carry the entire burden on their shoulders. Shahrukh Khan looks jaded as he has played such characters for so long. I have lost count of roles when his charming personality is wooing a girl who could be single, engaged or married but ultimately falls for him. Awkwardly Shahrukh's charm does not work in this movie and he is exasperating at times.

Shahrukh needs to do something different as he is no more conclusive playing roles which he was doing 20 years ago. Anushka looks pretty and her acting is passable. She also gets on your nerves after a while with her unimpressive Gujrati accent.

Direction and screenplay do not have much to do as there is no story in the movie. Superfluous songs also add to anguish. I feel this one of the most wretched movies by Imtiaz Ali. Please skip this movie and let the producers and directors know you cannot just serve us crap. Highly avoidable.

Jab Harry Met Sejal does not click at all, soul is missing from the film
binducherungath5 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Jab Harry Met Sejal is a romantic comedy film written and directed by Imtiaz Ali. He is certainly in the league of critically acclaimed young filmmakers. Jab Harry Met Sejal's plot is very much familiar, we have seen it in previous films of Imtiaz Ali as well as that of Shahrukh Khan's films. These days, it is very common in films that two Indian souls meet abroad, do engage in relationships without expecting to have any commitments. But slowly physical as well as emotional entanglement happens. And if one of them is already in a relationship, the confusion part also sets in. After the introduction of a few conflicts, finally these two souls meet. The plot of Jab Harry Met Sejal is so much similar. In fact Imtiaz himself has tried the same plot earlier. So, somewhere, Jab Harry Met Sejal does not click at all,the soul is missing from the film. Imtiaz Ali is a brilliant director and the way he interprets his story, does character sketching is appreciable and we have seen some of his best works in the past. But Jab Harry Met Sejal is one of his weakest works. Somewhere, he has absolutely gone wrong in keeping the tone of the film very casual even while the characters are undergoing a process of self-discovery, trying to develop the power of discretion, distinguish between what their hearts and heads want, and finally the power of reunion is also diminished due to inconsistent and shallow screenplay.

The film begins with Harry (Shahrukh Khan), a Punabi tour guide in Europe, taking a bunch of travelers around and seeing them off finally. Although Harry explains passionately to the travelers in regard to the places, he takes a deep breath, a sigh of relief, when he finally sees them off. One of his client is Sejal (Anushka) who decides to give a miss to her flight when she loses her engagement ring. Her fiancée and family members leave whereas she seeks Harry's help in looking out for the lost ring. Sejal speaks with typical Gujarati accent. Initial instances, where Sejal gives no option to Harry than to accompany her in ring-search, does generate some laughter. Then the whole film revolves around their journey of ring- search all through Amsterdam, Vienna, Lisbon, Budapest, Prague etc. And as it is quite predictable, during this journey both Harry and Sejal end up exploring their inner self as well as their need for one another. Harry is a loner, who has not visited his home in Punjab since last many years. He seeks solace by indulging in casual sex and a few pegs of alcohol. Sejal belongs to a business family in Mumbai and she feels that she has to finally settle down there itself with Rupan, her fiancée. During this journey, both Harry and Sejal realize that in spite of their lives apparently in a happy state, something is still missing. That is where Harry and Sejal understand that they complete one another.

I really don't want to say that the film is absolutely bad. But the combination of Imtiaz Ali, Shahrukh Khan, Anushka and music of Pritam should have all together created a magical piece which did not happen ultimately. Instead of stamping the film in a particular category, let me list down "What Works" and "What does not work" in the film for your to decide whether you want to watch the film or not.

What does not work in the film: Both Shahrukh and Anushka are actors who generally bring lot of charm to the screen by their presence. Their pairing in 'Rab ne Bana Di Jodi' and 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' did add value to these films, but sadly in this film their pairing does not do any wonders. And, this is indeed a sad thing that two actors and good friends off-screen as well are not able to put their chemistry into optimum level on screen (But I would certainly mention about them individually in "What works in the film" below).

Anushka is good in experimenting with her characters (still somehow she is not at her best in this film).

The back story of Harry's character is not explored properly.

A few characters are not sketched at all like that of Evelyn Sharma and Chandan Roy Sanyal.

The overall tone of the film is casual, so dialogues lack depth and soul.

The screenplay is a big let down.

What works in the film: The message (as in the previous films of Imtiaz) is profound that one must explore inner-self and undergo the process of self- discovery. Also, one must follow heart. Also, one must strive to find out what is missing in life. "What you seek is seeking you" – the main message of the film is very good.

Shahrukh certainly has charm, which keeps up the spirit of the film at certain low points (Although at places, he even appeared lousy).

The conflict induced by the presence of Gas (Chandan Roy Sanyal) seemed forced one, but somehow Chandan excelled even in his 5 minutes of screen time. He leaves impact.

Aru Krishansh Verma as Mayank is good.

Of course cinematography does justice to the foreign locale. Beautifully captured.

Pritam has certainly done wonders with the music in the film (although some numbers are absolutely forgettable). Songs are used contextually.

Certain wonderful moments: When Harry and Sejal sit and listen to a concert, both of them have moist eyes. A beautifully captured scene. Another scene, where Harry enacts as Sejal's fiancée proposing her. One more scene is very soothing when Sejal finds comfort in Harry's arms, the love between them seems serene.

Jab Harry Met Sejal does not click at all, the soul is missing from the film.

Brilliantly Directed Crap
samiem415 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I watched the movie with my wife yesterday and it started randomly with Shahrukh trying to over act tourist guide life. Suddenly he meets one more dumbo "Sejal" who leaves her fiancé to find some ring and travels all around Europe with reluctant Shahrukh. Finally they fall in love. Seriously thats the gist and including this it has over acting of shahrukh , Dumbness of Anushka, Silly Jokes.

What were you thinking about it Mr Imtiaz Ali.. This movie should be banned from theatres as it is having lots of negative Effect of human Values and thoughts.. In fact this has actually caused me overnight headache . Probably this movie should come with a complimentary DISPRIN and psychologist appointments.

If this movie is Love Story in your definition, then probably go back to 90's and start over.

Shahrukh Khan - Please STOP here. I have loved your movies in 90's , but now its not selling. I bet even you would not watch this for 2:30 mins..

Pointless!!!
iampranavmaharishi4 August 2017
The most disappointing movie ever I saw in my entire life. The movie felt so pointless that people started leaving the movie half way through from the theater. Even though the acting was good by the lead pair there was no script basically. The dialogues and story-line were a cliché. It had few moments in the first half where you might be entertained but the second half was unbearable. I seriously feel so bad that I want a refund. I don't understand some people who are talking good about the movie. How can someone like this boring movie it's unimaginable.

All in all it was a dud ! And the worst movie of SRK till date. How can a man(Imtiaz) who made a classic like ROCKSTAR come up with such a stupid and pointless movie?? I don't get it !

Until I watched this movie I was an SRK fan but I started doubting myself about that. He surely is proving time and again that he has a very poor choice of scripts. Why does such a good actor who can act so well make such silly movies and commercial movies.

Jab Harry met Sejal and told her not to watch the movie
kimayarawat4 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
What happened to Shahrukh from Chak De India and Swadesh? That Shahrukh who used to do good movies like that and now he keeps churning out bad movies back to back. Can anyone call that old Shahrukh and send this new Shahrukh to whatever hellhole he came from!? This movie is no different from his earlier movies he has done before, it's not even an original movie but a copy of Hollywood romantic classic "When Harry met Sally". They will tell you it's different..yeah, right! If Shahrukh is not going to do a original movie and copy-paste some movie and then at least do it properly...you had one job for god sake!!!

Shakrukh is 51 years old but still he is doing romantic movies, he should start doing movies which suits his age. In this movie, he is playing a lover boy who is in his 20s-30s. He looks more like a grandfather of Anushka than her love interest. Shahrukh did an overacting as usual, just horrible horrible like he is suffering from seizure which is coming every one minute. If that's not his acting and that's how he has became in real life, then he should check those seizures out from a doctor, my sympathy for him and although, sometimes Anushka does an amazing job but in this, she has those expressions in her face which makes me want to punch her. I think that has to do with her botched lip surgery, that's why she can't emote and speak properly. While they travels the world together in this movie, they should go to a doctor together too.

What to say about this movie? Nothing new, just another one where boy meet girl, girl meet boy and then they eventually fall in love with each other like we haven't seen clichés like this which has been rehashed like 5677234556 times. The movie was so awful that I should be given some kind of award for managed to sit throughout the end. Firstly I don't find the story enjoyable. To make a whole film about two people meeting through various stages of their lives and slowly, or should I say very slowly, starting a relationship is boring. Secondly I did not find anything funny. I was looking for some laughs, but it turned to be a total dud, like it's trying too hard to be funny. I could not focus on the film and whatever story there was in it, because dialogues were mostly forced and unnecessarily long. Maybe this is poor writing, maybe poor editing, but in any case, it resulted in a film that is hard to watch. What happened to the directer like Imtiaz Ali like his mind was too distracted while making this movie.

You will only like this movie if you are too blinded by love for Shahrukh that you refuse to see any fault in his movie. They won't even agree with my review too like I'm not allowed to give an constructive criticism like you can see how they are giving this movie 9-10. I bet most of them haven't even seen the movie. Then again, it's the case with most of the Shahrukh movies where fake up voting is necessary so that general public can't see how piece of crap his movies are actually are. So watch this movie if you're a Shahrukh fan and if you are neutral like I am, then prepare to be disappointed AGAIN!!!!!

First Half is AWESOME, second half could be better
ricky_ravi-754454 August 2017
First half of the movie is funny and entertaining. After the intermission the movie gets a little bit boring and long- lasting. SRK and Anushka's acting and chemistry is awesome! The King of Romance is back❤!

I rate the movie a 7.

A rare gem in bollywood! Not everyody can relate.
amandeepverma-5374830 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
When I saw this film for the first time, It had no special impact over me. It felt like any other rom com. For some reason I saw it again a year later and at that time I was going through some personal crisis myself, the whole movie's perception changed! The movie is entirely revolving around its characters and there is no story as such, maybe that's why it failed at box office. Its not about searching the ring, its about harry and sejal searching each other, Harry is a middle aged tour guide, lonely and somewhat depressed with his life and his habbits. He ran away from his home to pursue his dream of becoming singer but couldn't become one. His failures has made him bitter towards the world and himself and is lonely. He finds solace in sex and girls but deep inside he is kind hearted as well. Sejal on the other hand is a girl with serious self worth issues. A typical indian girl with overprotective family and someone who has never done things on her own maybe. She seeks freedom and validation in life to do whatever she wants, to realise her worth. Can you see the beauty of the plot? The tagline of the movie is "What you seek seeking you". Sejal wants the freedom that harry has. Harry wants to feel loved and cared again without being judged for his habbits and past. They both are seeking each other subconsciously. The ring is mere a tool or a metaphor used for both the characters looking for each other. The way both of the characters unfold each other is beautiful and its somewhat like an european cinema. The direction is typical imtiaz ali, beautiful locations, lost characters, funny setup. The songs and their use in the movie is perfect, cinematography is beautiful. SRK is perfect for a middle aged harry and so is anushka, a childish girl. Don't go for reviews, watch it to understand what a rare gem it is, for those who relate with this movie is gonna love it, for those who don't is gonna hate it for sure!

Imtiaz Ali's weakest but still watchable
Jithindurden30 November 2017
The first act was a total SRK show where he was brilliant at each shot that the Gujarati slang by Anushka fell short in front of SRK's charm. Imtiaz Ali's films mostly have a recurring theme of finding yourself through a long journey which continues here. But besides some of his effective methods at some points, this has to be his weakest film. It's a jolly trip through Europe and that is said to be SRK's idea. Ali's story was changed by Shahrukh Khan's recommendation and that is clearly seen here, it feels more like an SRK film but Ali does have some mark that makes it bearable. The story is predictable and could have been better but the chemistry of the lead pair and some of Ali's dialogues make it watchable.

Not at all good
mohnish-kuila4 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Not at all great, total waste of time, I got so frustrated that I downloaded the IMDb app to rate this crap movie, I am not a big fan of SRK, but Imitiaz Ali!!! so much more was expected from you. Went to watch another Jab we Met.. but no it was not even close, bad story line bad songs and as always bad cliché ending. We expect more from you Mr. Ali! and also SRK - it time to make sensible & good movies rather than these commercial ones (saying 2 3 bengali words doesn't make you cool!)

Jab Harry Met Sejal Is Much More Than Finding A Lost Ring
harrypoter-7208911 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
"You find the best things in your life when you're lost." Imtiaz Ali dissects this aphorism in Jab Harry Met Sejal to show love in the most avant garde style. Yes! I know I am going to get tons of abuses but still I have chosen to pour my heart out on why I liked Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Imtiaz Ali's latest film. Let's just agree to disagree the fact that the movie is not just about finding a lost ring. I agree with each and every fair criticism the film has been receiving but I also feel there's much more to the film of what one has seen in it.

Read ahead if you've seen the film or you are not planning to watch the film at all.

To Everyone Who Hated Jab Harry Met Sejal, The Film Is Much More Than Finding A Lost Ring

There is a scene where Anushka falls asleep in the arms of Shah Rukh Khan and as he wakes up there's a blank stare on his face. He realizes how all of this is temporary and can end anytime. He comes out of the place as Nurmahal's flashback scenes backed with Nooran Sister's song Jeeve Sohneya Ji builds up this soul tearing sequence.

As he comes out, he imitates his mom "(Don't worry child, this happens, everything will be fine)" assuming he's creating a non-virtual support because he is alone and lost in a country where he has no family. When Anushka Sharma finds out why he was crying, she says "I won't let you be lonely," This is a moment which hits at the right place if you can connect with the characters. Anyone living away from home or family will immediately connect to Shah Rukh Khan's blank stare when he sees Anushka Sharma and realizes all this is not forever.

This film is all about some wonderful moments and extra ordinary songs. When Anushka meets Shah Rukh for the first time you'll be forced to think of Jab We Met's 'Take me to Bathinda' scene. The airport scene where Anushka says, "Tbis is the moment where I have to leave," will remind you of Love Aaj Kal's scene in which Saif comes to drop off Deepika Padukone at the airport.

The entire dancing on the street sequence will take you back to the Matargashti of Tamasha. "Only you can save me," says Harry to Sejal will make you miss Ved from Tamasha. Not demeaning any of the mentioned scenes but they're similar and inspired by the best.

If you're overhearing someone saying, "The film's pace is crawling, Imtiaz has wasted time and the plot is just about finding a ring" Do not believe them. It is not just about finding a lost ring, it's about finding a lost soul. The plot is about finding where you stand in your life. It's about a tour guide who is lost, it's about seeking what's seeking you. The magical lines by Irshad sum up the whole sequence where Harry screams for Sejal over the river – "Sejal, come back I miss you. Let's find some ring again," This is where Imtiaz Ali's way of proving why no one else understands love better than this man. When SRK sees Anushka with his trademark dreamy gaze and Hawayein plays, "Why does your face seem like my dreams?" A movie that has been bashed so badly do not have such moments.

Watch the movie, criticize all you want but please note the amount of moments the film has offered. Call spade a spade if it's spade. There are many such moments I can write about but I want you to watch the movie and decide for yourself. As they say, opinions are like assholes everyone has one and this was mine. If you still have plans to watch this film, do not cancel it because of all the negativity around.

Shah Rukh is good but fails to pull this weak script off
rajdoctor25 September 2017
The buzz of the movie was high. It flopped.

Being an Imtiaz Ali movie with Shah Rukh Khan in it, expectations were high.

But always - I believe with Imtiaz Ali's movie - there are a few things we need to be aware of: (This is how I have understood about his movies)

1. It could be a road movie 2. It will be a romantic movie 3. It will be a leaf out of Imtiaz's life (to some extend) 4. The songs will be catchy 5. The second half would meander a bit 6. The ending sequence will always be different 7. One or two sequences of sub-plots in the movie would be bad 8. It will be a slice of travelogue of some place

Yes, this are standard things about Imtiaz Ali's movies

Imtiaz has 8 movies in his credits, and this was the biggie he had marched to by looping in Shah Rukh Khan.

Does it have all the ingredients of Imitiaz Ali's magic hat? YES Does it work - NO

What is good - Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma have acted well

What is not going okay - the gheesa - peeta script, A one-liner story.: A guide - Shah Rukh, traveling with a Gujarati girl (Anushka Sharma) to search her engagement ring all over Europe - while in the end the ring is found in her purse.

Just a Dud..!

In that journey - Shah Rukh's disinterest in the journey with Anushka from the beginning turns into an attraction and though Anushka tries to avoid falling in LOVE with Shah Rukh - is unable to resist the LOVE charm. And as expected - both are in LOVE by the end of the movie.

As Anushka is going to get married - she has to travel back to India, and Shah Rukh Khan later realizes that he should travel to attend her wedding and tell her "I LOVE YOU" just to find she has already canceled her wedding. Thus to the delight of Shah Rukh, he takes Anushka to his Punjabi village where they sing in the mustard fields to end the movie. Happy ending!

Through the journey they travel from Amsterdam (my beautiful city - gorgeously shown) to Prague - via Vienna, Lisbon and Budapest.

Have they captured Europe beautifully? - Um... Yes and NO. Imitiaz has touched some attractive tourist spots of each place, but there are so many beautiful places all over Europe that what is shown - just seems too little and too cliché.

The movie is musical with beautiful songs, but some may find them distracting and too many.

The LOVE emotions are good - especially for the person if s/he is in LOVE in real life - otherwise for routine audience - they are usually boring - all seen and dusted.

It seems that Imtiaz had taken this script to Shah Rukh - with a story of a depressed loner guide - who was suicidal - because he keeps on falling in LOVE and no girl stays with him till he meets this Gujarati Girl Anushka.

Shah Rukh (may be under influence of YashRaj and Dharma banner, Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra duos) wanted to make the movie a fun romantic ride.

I think that was the loser. The earlier story idea if executed well - would have had been different.

The same story with a younger fresh new pair - would have raised eye- balls and may be - people would have liked to movie.

With Shah Rukh expectations were too high.

The movie is not so bad - if you are a romantic.

Some kind of joke?
akshatavm5 August 2017
When we go for movies, we expect to have fun but not like this ! To make a movie, plot and story has to be good.. there is nothing here ! The whole movie around a ring which doesn't make sense.. Again they didn't detail any character .. and so many songs for nothing..

They just spent a long of money for a really bad movie and story. What might have saved the movie is the real class acting of shahrukh..

Imitiaz Ali : what's gone wrong ? Hell yeah, we expect something great from you !

Shahrukh khan's romantic acting are so predictable . Anushka sharma plays a foolish Gujrati Girl, Reminds of "hansa bhabhi" from khichdi.. Less funny more irritating . Searching for a ring ,, Ahh.. if they want to search for ring , it would have found in the very beginning of the movie. But these idiots have waste their own money in euro tour ,and our money in buying tkts for it.. And I**B, frm when u too have started giving paid reviews . 9/10 Bullshit

DDLJ Returns with a modern version?
fillerruth3 August 2017
Oh I am not sure people agree with me or not. But I think this is the appropriate and most lovable complement for the movie which came first to my mind after watching this movie.

Jab Harry Met Sejal, of course, revolves around Harry and Sejal as they embark on the journey of their life. Sejal is engaged and Harry is not really looking for love. However, when Sejal comes around asking for his help to get back her engagement ring that she seems to have lost on her last tour to Europe, sparks fly.

Although reluctant and not hoping to find love, the two develop a deep bond while on their hunt for the ring. Will Sejal change her mind and embrace the promise of happy life? or will she stick to her promise and go ahead and marry her fiancé.

Jab Harry Met Sejal comes with beautiful sights from Europe. A simple story at the core, Imtiaz Ali and the two lead stars make this tale an exciting and engaging romantic movie.

sucks do not watch
vriddheeg5 August 2017
I found the beginning to be funny, Anushka Sharma is amazing in the movie but it is cringeworthy to see her romancing Shahrukh Khan, I just did not see them as a couple in this movie, post interval you can barely tolerate it, there is unnecessary drama, a movie that could have easily ended in 90 minutes is dragged and dragged.

Movie for those who can think and feel
juliamonakova21 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
So... Shahrukh again starred in the movie "not for box office," and again I'm sooo delighted with his work! As I thought after watching trailers, new creation of Imtiaz Ali has not "Indian colour" - and it's not even because of European locations. Simply, there is nothing here that would be close and understandable by the average Indian audience. Shah one more time made a risky experiment, thinking not about the simple public, but about his own taste (a very good taste, I should note). So it became an excellent, stylish, high-quality and intelligent film. But alas - not for the masses. Not for critics. Not for cash, but for his own buzz. My respect to the King Khan again for his brave heart! To be honest, in recent years all critics praise his acting ("Fan", "Dear Zindagi", "Raees"), and all the negative goes to writers or directors. Same happened this time - the action is not enough, and the culminating scene is rather weak, and too many songs... In JHMS the dialogues are ruling, there are no many events, but lots of emotions, feelings, attitudes, hints and halftones. This is the film about a Man and a Woman, and this is not the case when the story is full of turbulent events and fountains of adventures. Moreover, there is no edifying morality, a social message, patriotic pathos, politics, sports, fights, gays, invalids, feminists, tears, snot and drool. There are even no promises to love "until death and in all rebirths." Nothing is served on a saucer and does not chew. You should read between the lines. Special thanks to Imtiaz Ali for the way he was shooting Shah - it's a real pleasure to see Harry on screen from the very first moments of his appearance with blues SAFAR (my bow to the lyrics and the composer for the luxurious tracks - they are a full part of the plot!). We see a middle-aged wanderer with tired eyes. An Indian immigrant, failed singer, now a guide who does not like his work. His life is a continuous gray and routine. Groundhog Day: groups of tourists, airports, buses, sights, the official comfort of hotel rooms, jokes on duty, regular clashes with the boss for the love affairs with customers, coffee from plastic cups and a snack on the run. The hero does not want to admit this out loud (and the Indian name Harinder was cut to the stylishly European Harry), but he desperately misses his native Punjabi village. You can remember same theme from DDLJ and Swades... String plot is about Harry helps the client find the engagement ring, which she lost during a tourist trip. "What you seek is seeking you," says the film's slogan, and the hero really finds... not the ring, but himself. Shahrukh does not try to flirt and grow young, he is natural at his age and so steep that it is impossible not to envy his intelligent charm in the way he acts. No embraces in the famous pose, no dimples, romantic eyes and other branded clichés, but ... looks and dialogues - that's what makes his character so charismatic. Plus the enchanting transitions from Hindi to Punjabi, English and German. Sejal is also good. One of Anushka's main trumps is her marvelous, modulation-rich voice, capable of conveying the tiniest shades of any emotion and expressing almost everything. Whatever critics write, the chemistry between Shah and Anushka is amazing. They magically complement each other, Harry is a lone wolf, Sejal is a sweet, foolish girl, frivolous and superficial at first glance. But do not rush to draw conclusions, because this is the girl who pulls the hero out of the musty bog in which he is stuck, and fills his lungs with clean fresh air. Very good shows the way when you gradually fall in love. Not love at first sight, but the very process of the origin of fluids. I also felt butterfly fluttered in my stomach! I really liked the final of the story. SAFAR is over, the eternal wanderer has stopped, now he will prepare nest for his family! What can I say in conclusion? Well, of course, this is not a masterpiece of world cinema. Well, of course, it will be not loved and understood by everyone, somebody will be frankly bored during the viewing and will not see anything in the film, except the search for a ring in Europe. But this, of course, is another very very very strong work of Shah, a wonderful acting of his partner Anushka, an amazing job of the operator, director and composer. A movie that you want to savor like a good wine. Which personally left a wonderful aftertaste - something that I wanted immediately to repeat!

Not good, not bad either
rockerlalith4 August 2017
This review doesn't contain anything related to the movie, it's for some people who say that SRK is romancing heroines half his age. Does age really matter? These are the same people who watch movies like sultan,P.K,prem ratan dhan payo, with excitement. Even the other two khans also have paired heroines half their age. If you want to see a movie, see it as a movie, not as a reality. its reel and not real.

Low Hopes on Movie | High Hopes for a Eurotrip
anup_anupkorade5 August 2017
Worst Farook Khan movie I ever watched. This movie is so bad that I had to login to my IMDb account and review it. The story line is not just weak its dead weak. Unrealistic situations in movie don't make any sense. The only thing this movie will do better is they will let you know the different countries and different restaurants in Europe.

For People who Still Believe in Love
ar-anmolrawat5 August 2017
While most of the people have adopted a practical lifestyle and approach, some, may be a tiny minority of people still believe in love. Thank you Imtiaz Ali, Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma for keeping their hopes alive. It's a simple movie about love, just the old school love. Sad that we've come so far that the idea of two people falling in love and having a clichéd happy ending is boring. Imtiaz is not at his best in the movie, I agree and it could have had a shorter second half, but for most part of the movie, I had a stupid smile on my face because it felt good. I love the movie where I feel good and happy because people hardly make them anymore. I loved the acts and whoever said that SRK should stop doing such movies can go to hell coz he was terrific in his role. I loved many dialogues and messages in the movie. My favorite would be 'Express yourself because that's what's your role. What the other person thinks about it is their job. You have to do yours and they will do theirs.' and that 'if something is gone from your life, it is not necessary that you have to forget it. It's not necessarily bad if it's gone and even if it hurts you because for that period, you were actually happy, may be the happiest you have ever felt.' PS, if we can keep watching the same superheroes defeating the same super villains who are keen to destroy the world again and again, if we can watch some robots fight each other every two years, if we don't mind the same overdone visual effects layered on top of every movie, we certainly don't mind watching you recreate the same theme in your movies.

Sharukh should think beyond money now :)
wemoni4 August 2017
Well am not someone who can criticize "Sharukh" as I use to be his admirer, am still but recently I saw him frustrated in an interview,

he said: Is it my fault that producers are casting heroines half of my age? Do I choose the cast of the movie? basically he was furious over people commenting on "Dear Zindagi"

Anyways I suppose he is at a stature where he can "Choose" what he does (am sure he is rich enough not to work just for money) and I am pretty sure 99.9% people will agree with me. And if he continue to choose movies like "Jab Harry Met Sejal" he will gradually shatter his good image.

He cannot just get away with statements like "is it my fault?" LOLz ... then who's fault it is? mine that i went to watch "Jab Harry met Sejal" :)
