Finally!

I personally have loved this series but I don't understand all those people who think this isn't "Punisher enough". This episode is sure to change their minds. The action is exactly what you would expect and hope. This series is getting better!

Episode I was waiting for

Finally, they gave us what we wanted. I was not a fan of Punisher. I saw high ratings and thought I will give it a try. I was going to skip this after first episode itself, however last 10 minute of that first episode was awesome and I hooked up.

This episode is awesome. I always liked one-man-army type of character.

I hope they keep up the good work and last 2 episodes of this series are also awesome.

He's back

That scene as Bernthal puts on the punisher suit is everything, amazingly cinematic. This episode had a lot of small plot points come together and it really worked.

Oh man!!! THIS has been my favourite episode of The Punisher thus far! Astounding, heartfelt, violent, and just an exquisite however bloody episode

"Danger Close" is now my personal fav episode I have thus far seen of The Punisher. The last one was exceptionally well made, it was excellent. But THIS one, oh man!! So much happens (as usual, but even more so with this one), there's tension, blood, guts, sheer brutality, sadness, and things have to be done; no, they're needing to end! Looking forward to finishing series one this next day or so, but all I can say is: this is an essential episode of not just the Punisher, but in crime / action / vigilante itself. The action, the dialogue, the execution, its plot, the continuation of the previous one, its moments with not just Frank, but Micro, his family, Billy, and so much more. The actors are very good. They're actually a solid cast and it breaks my heart that they cancelled this, as well as Daredevil, but in all honesty I think I prefer The Punisher. Solid and missed by millions shows though, that is. If you're looking for a bloody, great-dialogue, slow yet also fast paced episode, ensure you watch this one. It by all means deserves its current rating of 9.3 on here. Excellent.

Here's the standout points / highlights of the episode for me personally:

• every scene with Micro and Frank
• the amount going on
• David (Micro) seeing his daughter
• "You're her father right? You go to your little girl, okay?"-Frank
• The tension/build-up/not knowing what's going to happen next (at times)
• Most scenes with Billy and Rawllins
• The last 15 mins

FINALLY

Took the writers forever to get here. But now we finally have been treated to the type of episode you expect from a series entitled "The Punisher."

An interesting touch was portraying Marion James as a pragmatic bureaucrat that managed to maintain a code of morality. In sharp contrast was William Rawlins who would cross any line in a heartbeat for the pursuit of some perceived gain of power.

The ever-disappointing character is Dinah Madani who continues to be too young for her responsibilities. We can only hope based upon the final scene that she will be an asset in the next two episodes.

David has regained his relationship with his daughter so hopefully the Lieberman family drama will be scaled back. Although, there's still the rescue of David's wife and son to be completed.

The way the story has progressed, there is the potential for a satisfying finale. We'll have to wait and see.

Moving towards the climax

The show is finally moving towards the climax here, with sudden plot twists you don't see coming, sustained peril and even some of the gory action that the show's reputation is based on. Good stuff!

Danger Close

The show is embracing the ridiculous nature of super hero flicks well with how they're having Frank out and about with no repercussions, but that is a small thing one can overlook when watching. We are seeing some great action though, and that is the important thing. This show knows what it wants to be, knows what its fans want and that is Frank hurting people. That's what they're going to keep giving us and I am on board with that.
