Oh hell no

What a great episode, amazing character development, Punisher and Micros relationship has grown so much. That ending though, oh hell no.

Cold Steel

Warning: Spoilers
Well, if you have watched a Marvel show on Netflix before you know right around this time we can expect a character to perish and we saw that happen to Stein tonight. I picked him to die from the pilot, but it was still a pretty stunning display of gruesome behavior. If you're a cop you have to know to wait for backup before applying cuffs on someone that dangerous.

Not quite as good as the last one, but still a solid episode.

I call bullshit

Warning: Spoilers
How convenient that it took Madani ages to get to Russo so she missed what happened. This made 0 sense unless she grabbed some food on her way. Other than that this episode was fine and I'm just trying to get 5 lines so i can submit this review of mine. Show is great just not what I expected.

Nothing like other episodes

Warning: Spoilers
Homeland making a trap that doesn't work. Medani friend getting killed for no reason. Why would an homeland agent get so close to an trained assassin since he saw what they did there. Anyway it was the stupidest think ever it seemed like a random tv show. Not in the levels of other episodes not at all

Pete and Sarah, sitting in a tree...
paultapner4 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Well, looks like nobody was that bothered by what Frank tried to do at the end of the last part, as he's back with Micro with no harm at all at the start of this one. But again, he needs to talk to Sarah. Micro meantime is getting jealous and worked up about this.

Meantime Billy and Medani are doing the usual. Then talking.

You want drama about broken people coping with family loss, this is a good show for you. But I'm getting bored with the micro's family storyline. Although Frank's attempt at child psychology and the resulting breakthrough is good drama, as such things go.

But we finally get some action in the last quarter, which is good at being uncompromisingly realistic. And showing us what a rotter one particular character is.

This show is called the Punisher. Can he do some of that somewhen soon please?

WORST Episode yet
Warin_West-El9 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I was happy to observe there is almost a unanimous consensus on this episode.

FIRST: This episode is not like ANY of the others.

SECOND: The action is HIGHLY MANIPULATED. Madani takes FOREVER to arrive when Sam gets killed. Just long enough to avoid her seeing Russo is the killer. Sam approaches a trained assassin and gets close without waiting for Madani to arrive. If you're a REAL cop you know to wait for backup before applying cuffs on someone that dangerous.

SLOW: This episode went back to forcing the audience to watch lengthy BORING dialogues. I had to fast-forward through at least three.

BORING: Not only were the dialogues boring, the storyline of David's family is becoming a bit tedious and unconvincing. David shows up when Frank's playing catch with his son. REALLY? The guy is supposedly a genius AND he knows the evil guys are tracking him. So he risks getting his family KILLED? Not buyin' it.

REDEMPTIVE: The ONE good moment was the revelation that Zach was a bully because he was afraid. That played out as entirely natural and was a good arc for that character.

CHEESY: When Sam dies, Madani turns into a bowl of wet noodles. Crying and screaming for help. It was paternalistic writing and insulting to women. This is the same woman who two minutes earlier was in an intense firefight. The last scene (just like the last scene of the previous episode) was obviously fabricated for shock value. And once again, in the final scene of an episode the writers ruin the audience's suspension of disbelief. Well, at least they're consistent. LOL.

Cold Steel

Warning: Spoilers
Several of the character interactions in this episode are cheesy, predictable, and quite frankly very disappointing considering there had been little of it up until this point in the season. Others may not care as much, but I personally think they ruin the immersion. However, the episode took a turn for the better when Stein got stabbed to death by Russo. I had expected Stein to get killed eventually, and it came as no surprise when it occurred, but the stabbing scene with Russo's trademark, hidden blade was a satisfying way for it to happen... and then, it went back to being cheesy and predictable with Madani covered in blood in her bath tub, as the camera pans out and reveals that Russo's the one who's swabbing off the blood from his own doing. I've been binging on this show, and Cold Steel has been the weakest episode, yet.

Much as before

Much as before with a build of plotting and character work. Feels a little slow at this point, you're expecting more significance and gravitas from what's taking place, but it'll do.
