Interesting concept/ poor execution
madelineedgar4 October 2020
The subject matter is interesting, but the execution is reminiscent of a bad school project. The runtime is just over an hour but feels longer. The acting is cringeworthy, but the kids tried their best.

Not for the average viewer.

*Extremely mild spoilers*

The sole reason I'd recommend this movie is the genre, and the genre alone. I didn't think the plot was well written. The first 2/5 or so were building up just fine, but after that it only got even slower and more confusing and pointless. The astral projection felt so random, like what the hell is the goal here? What purpose does this incredible power serve in this movie? I didnt get it. It's like it's done simply to be done. The power is never used to accomplish anything, until suddenly it does in some completely random and unexplained way that doesnt make sense unless you use your imagination. It didnt even seem realistic to me. A camera is used as part of the setup to produce the phenomenon. However, there is no camera recording the actual events that unfold. She does a whole episode on astral projection, just to seemingly accomplish nothing and prove it to no one. This is practically the climax of the movie, despite stating that she had these powers at the very beginning of the movie. The acting on screen is significantly worse than the narration, the latter of which was probably the strongest aspect of the movie. Most of the CGI is fine, but there was one scene with an inexcusably bad green screen! The character's clothes become semi-transparent, and the top of her silhouette is cropped out flat against the background!! That's just low quality; how did they miss that? Then there's the 911 call, which loses all visuals to make the audio really stand out. Yet it sounds painfully unrealistic, and obviously faked.

Idk where else to put this, but they did a solid job creating spook factor in the first 2/5. It fizzles out from there.

I would never recommend it to someone unless they were seriously into astral projection and aliens, and liked horror films.

Short sci fi
Stanlee10710 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
With this film being under an hour, it does what it sets out to do. The protagonist is a young child/ teenager that takes the viewer through her eyes of the night her brother disappeared. The rest of the film concentrates on her & her family quest to find out the whereabouts of said disappeared brother/son/etc.

It touches the notion of astro-projection & other out worldy answers. The lead protagonist is very good at convincing the viewer of her naive views of what had occured and takes us along to her realisation that thing "the truth is out there" moment.

Don't. Just. Don't

I demand my time back! This zero-budget movie is done by one family, it seems, with a few other people involved. This "movie" is 58 min long, yet felt like 3 hours. Character play is horrible by all, except the grandmother. Everything going on the screen is also explained in monotonic, robotic voice of the main character. 3-4 times, over and over. There's no good idea behind this film. no idea at all, really.

A movie about Mt. Shasta that hardly features Mt. Shasta
coltoncoatefilm10 October 2020
They literally could have put any footage of the beautiful nature of the surrounding area with that HEAVY narration and it would have been better than whatever tf I just watched 🤣 I also really wanna know why that poor girl didn't have sheets on her bed. #hardpass #whatswhitebalance

Don't do it.

If you wanna be close to dying of boredom, go ahead and watch this very low-paced excuse for a movie. Poor special effects and a storyline that makes zero sense.

Interesting concept but terrible all around
mibradygrl25 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
First off, the entire movie is narrated by a kid. Pretty annoying and hard to follow. Rather than telling a story, you get snippets of action combined with an all over the place narration. The narration is poorly done, a young girl is blandly reciting facts..."my brother disappeared when I was 10. I had a good relationship with my mother. She never got over it. When I was 14, my grandma said I was special. I told her about my dreams and she said I could astral project. My grandma was looking for evidence of aliens on the mountain. My grandfather always believed they lived under the mountain. He disappeared around the same time as my brother." Yikes. Nothing interesting happens. Oh yeah she can pull objects through time so she rescues her brother.🙄🙄

had to skip through it

Warning: Spoilers
The girl reads her lines. Is it lumerians, luminarians, or lemurians? Because they mispronounce the subject of the movie over and over. Finished it with disappointment. Indoctrination of young girls to occultism and witchcraft.

Painful attempt to distort a beautiful story
cosmicraycommander21 January 2023
Painful to watch literally. Go to target and get a fitted sheet and put it on the mattress before you shoot a movie geez. There is the entertainment industry and there is the content moderation and manipulation department of the industry. Folks looking for a nice movie about the truth about Mount Shasta which is way more fun than this version, can find it on the Gaia Network, called the last avatar. That movie will help clean up the painful misinformation this movie accidentally spewed on the subject. Most of the folks making this movie had no idea what they were making and it is not their fault, and they're probably decent actors. People of the world know this, in the American Spiritual Revolution, Lemurian/ Telosian/ Agartha Alliance leadership, will be taking control of Hollywood negativity via 5D patriotic activity. Pay no mind to heartless nonsense. Focus on heart truths.

Interesting concept
cherisevanhooser19 October 2020
The story itself is very interesting, I would like the story to have more depth. Heavy monotone narration was a bit repetitive with what was going on, I assume because it was obviously a low budget film. I did enjoy it and hope to see more development from it!

Don't waste your time
julio-saravi9 April 2021
Astral travel and lots of nonsense...Why do people waste time producing things like this ? Why do they waste the other's time ? Why there isn't a zero rating available ? =)

Thought provoking and well done

I don't usually review indie movies but I really hope there will be a sequel to this movie. Very well scripted and the topic is something I'm definitely interested in. Well done!

Very interesting
michellechavez-8188327 August 2021
This movie got a lot of poor reviews and I believe it's because the people didn't understand it's concept. A simple google search will tell you there's lots of history behind My. Shasta that are similar to what happened in this movie great concept wish it was based on more factual events.

Pretty good
judyk-8178120 March 2021
There are lots of folks who disappeared Mt. Shasta. A good runtime for this movie. Also in US Parks. Folks on hikes. Their friend is there and goes around the corner and disappears. A show called Missing. 411 by David Paulides.

Surprisingly good
moorethis20 September 2020
For an indie film on a budget, this film was surprisingly good. Very well directed, very meticulously and artistically shot, and actually very successful as a horror/sci-fi film. The young actors do a very good and the director of this film has a lot of potential and talent.

Brilliant!!
filmfanfrenzy30 September 2020
Can't say much without it spoiling the movie! Rating 10 because a lot of it moved a bit slowly but I guess that was all for a reason!

Movie was fantastic but the ending was even better!!

Definitely worth a watch! If you get bored by any chance, stick through it, trust me!!

Very different and good
jimvandemoter-5023624 October 2020
This movie takes it's time to tell the story. I think the poor reviews came from people who have the attention span of a gnat. It does move at a very measured pace, but the pace only lends to its documentary feel. There have been stories for decades about strange happenings in the north west and this feels like another one of those stories. I really can't classify this as a horror story or even a science fiction story, more like a speculative fiction story. The face that all the actors are almost totally unknown also adds to the authenticity. I liked it a lot.
