Really overwhelming but still well done. Amazing voice-actors, interesting sounding world and story, fun art/animation. The plot points matter loosely and they helped me understand what was happening in Episode One a lot better, I didn't retain even close to everything as there is a looooot of pre-livestream sessions, but I now have a general view of the world and characters and why they have a castle and are together and etc. Should be your first watch if you are starting Critical Role, as it made me feel familiar enough with them in the first episode. It honestly reminds me of joining as a DnD player in a running game and getting the DM recap of everything so far... You aren't expected to retain it all, but it is still very useful so when it does come up you can go... "Oh yeah! I know that!", and likewise it gives you a very solid idea of who these people are.
