Not the best.

This particular BOF is a bit weak on the gay side of things, with some of the shorts almost seeming like disc filler.

Drowning (2009) Bromance to the extreme. It's so easy for a new partner to get in the way of a friendship and it's difficult for the one left behind, especially if they're suffering and in need and not ready to let anyone steal their friend away. He could have been nicer to the new girlfriend though, grief is not an excuse to be openly hostile.

If the ending had gone how I wanted it to, it would have been a bit different, but sometimes it's good not to get what you want.

I do object to the continuous use of drugs and alcohol in gay films as if they are rife in the community, especially as I work my way through the Boys On Film series. Yes I get quite merry on a few bevvies every now and then, but we don't all do drugs or even smoke, can we have a broader representation please?

Franswa Sharl (2009) I don't think I really got to see his acting abilities in 'The Walking Dead', but actually Callan McAuliffe is superb in this short film. I'm not sure he was playing a gay role so much as just being a joker, I'm not even sure you could say it was trans related, but it was a good little film about a funny little character. Performed well by all involved and with good production values.

Tanjong Rhu (The Casuarina Cove) (2009) Based on the entrapment of 12 men at Tanjong Rhu, this fictionalised account of the event didn't really grab me and didn't seem very clear about its message. I don't think it was showing that it was wrong for the police to have entrapped the men or that the men shouldn't have been cruising in the woods either. I also couldn't really tell who was who, as at times it was dark and not obvious which part of the timeline I was seeing. It's probably an important message, but I know nothing about it apart from what I have gathered from this film.

Teddy (2009) I'd have to really love someone to give them my teddy bear.

It's always hard when you realise that you've let the right one get away and painful to see them so happy with someone else. This is why break ups should always be harsh and horrible. The inclination to meet again should never develop, it will only cause heart break in the end and you can never be just friends with an ex. There will always be that need for more that will get awkward or that reminder that what you had failed.

Put together well, but why not make it longer?

Love, 100*C (2010) I have never understood how a trip to the baths could not be sexual. Why do "Straight" men in these other cultures enjoy trips to a bath house to wash with other men. Or is it that their culture doesn't think of nudity as a sexual thing like the Brits and others do? Why don't they just shower at home?

Personally I found Min-soo a bit creepy and couldn't work out why his brother is so aggressive towards him.

To be honest the whole film seemed to be saying that you should stay in the closet.

And why on Earth would they use the song Danny Boy at the end? It's so out of place and actually made me go "Wha . . . ?" 059.87/1000.

My Last Ten Hours With You (2007) I can only dream of having a love like this, one that's so in-depth and brilliant that it hurts to say goodbye.

I would struggle to say my farewells to Jeremy too. He's pretty damn near close to my perfect guy, based on what I saw.

An interesting look at the last night of a relationship. It makes you wonder why they couldn't find a way to make it work. Another short that I would kind to see developed into a feature length film.

Ron The Zookeeper (2007) This isn't about anything gay, it's about a pervert! And it's gross! Why is it on a Boys On Film DVD?

The weird sort of crap you find on channel 4 at 03:00 in the morning or if you delve too far on YouTube.

I suppose it was something to fill the disc with and contribute to the "Pacific Rim" element of Boys On Film 6, because it was made in Australia.

A Jumma! Are You Krazy??? (2009) I'd have I be Krazy to ever consider watching this again. It's so cheap and badly made. It's not even that gay, another one that stretches the parameters in connection to Boys On Film's "Pacific Rim" theme. More disc filler!

To call it a farce would be an insult to farces everywhere.

The only bonus was that the guys were at least hot.
