"Worlds Finest" Super Girl / Flash CrossOver
justfameyt18 April 2016
Warning: Spoilers
*Spoiler Alert*

The Supergirl show was always for me a "meh" type of show but when I got to know that Grant Gustin Was Guest Starring on the show I was "Hyped".This Episode Showed us that the flash can now travel to different earths that have new super heroes and villains which expands the universe for both supergirl and flash but my opinion both this episode is that I was pleased by it because of seeing Kara's and Barry's QUIRKY moments , their chemistry and much more.

I think this episode was better than any other "TV" superhero crossovers from what I have seen so I give it a 9.2/10 Cookie Points X3

Delightful!

Warning: Spoilers
This is the first ep I've watched, so this is from the perspective of a Flash viewer. This season's Flash has been a bit of a downer, so to see Barry happy/smart was GREAT. His interactions with Kara were fun, and yes exhilarating. I swear I thought Winn was this Earth's Cisco, he spoke/acted just like him. Sorry to see Kara/James is as awkward/forced as Iris/Barry. Also not feeling the jealousJames/Winn poking him about it, especially as a lot of people seems to have issues with James already. The writers for both shows really need to keep the romantic relationships to a minimum. Love Cat's CW/Barry=Flash lines, not sure about the one re her children which felt off. Lucy's first scene was cringy, very much spoiled/immature princess vibe/unbelievable that she's head of the place. The villains were OK, but if Banshee's look is put on rather than because of her powers, yikes. The wire-work/green screen made for surprisingly poor visuals. Never thought I'd say thank goodness for Flash's smaller budget forcing the VFX team to use light scan visual effects which makes for a seamless look. And I get the resolution to the villains, but again, I'm glad Flash's smaller budget will never allow for that level of cheese.

Still. Kara and Barry! How adorkable were they?! Talk about making the badness go away! For them alone this ep is an 8.8.

A Fun watch and A Peak for the Series.

Warning: Spoilers
Supergirl has been hard for me to get into. Between the fact that we never get to see Superman (Something I think shouldn't be anymore if it's not the same movie universe) and that I personally have problems with her concept, I started watching it with an even more skeptical outlook than I usually do.

It has a slow start. The episodes are not perfect, but I feel since episode 13 I've grown to like the show and the characters. They stick in my head, they are memorable, and so fun.

And did I laugh this episode or what. This episode was like a fine breeze as the sun comes out on a spring day. I think they should take more cues from the super hero fight choreography from The Bizarro and Master Jailer episodes, but the conclusion gave a nice twist, and oh does it have me drooling for any possible future crossovers.

A DC TV Universe is more and more not only a possibility, but something that just needs to happen. Of course, I hope that the writing for Supergirl doesn't go slack and keeps on trying to bring new things (I especially look forward to a second season with original plots and villains) but yeah, I think I can finally put both my feet in and say I like this show.

I'll admit I'm biased because I really enjoyed this episode. I think I could point out problems if I went looking for them but the prevailing feeling I got from watching it was joy interest and hope.

It does a good job of leading up to the upcoming episode.

Unexpected Results....
Honesticedragon694 September 2021
I Gotta say at first when this show first started I wasn't really in to it, in fact I Skipped out on the Majority of the Episodes of this Season when it First Aire. I Don't why I just wasn't, which was strange even back then I was In to Female Empowerment and all of that. Back then this Show Should have been the Perfect show for me, because it's not only a Female Empowerment but it's also a Superhero Show which was what I was Mainly Watching back then. This was the Only Episode that I watched while it was originally Airing for the Basic Fact that in the Promotional Material Promoted, that the CW's Flash was going to Crossover, The CW's Flash was one of the Shows I watched avidly even for back then. And back then I Figured that maybe I should watched just episode because of The flash.

And Afterwards I started realizing that I was wrong about this show, with plans to start watching this show starting the Second Season. And after the Second Season I eventually aught The First Season for the Strict Purpose of playing Catch Up. And coupled with what I already saw in the then just finished Second Season, I started to become a Fan of this show.

Anyways about this episode, Great Episode I Especially Loved that Scene where Berry gave Kara advice and assurance that her people would eventually start trusting her as Supergirl again, after the Events of the Red Kryptonite Episode. If I could say one bad thing about this Episode is that I just wished that instead of it being face Paint I would have have The Silver Banshee, character over use her Powers and as a result of it Turned her in to the her Comic Accurate Look. Again instead of of just having it being just Plain Paint. But Th upside though I think she still looks Good Enough Despite In My Personal Opinion. And a couple Final Positive Note I think it's fitting that The Flash and Supergirl had that Race at the End Of The Episode for Fitting Reasons. And the finale is I also Loved the Comedy that Accompanied the both of them when they where introduced themselves to one another. All and all an Enjoyable Episode In My Opinion.

Superhero Sci-Fi Comedy
prettybillydee3 September 2023
Worlds Finest is the first crossover of Supergirl and The Flash. A very entertaining episode! The casting of the leads are spot on and the chemistry between them is amazing! The tones of these two characters work so well together. It was a fun episode that expanded the Arrowverse.

Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist carry their shows brilliantly. They both embody these characters and really allow their charm to shine through. Two funny, smart, quirky millennials that just so happened to be some of DC Comics most iconic although sometimes underrated superheroes.

I don't think Supergirl and The Flash get enough credit for tackling such huge sci-fi concepts in such a fun way. An alien and a metahuman in a multiverse travel story!

"I thought I was the impossible"
ThomasDrufke28 March 2016
Supergirl lost me a long time ago. It just wasn't the show for me. But I tuned in to this episode specifically because Grant Gustin was appearing as The Flash. The show's campy tone or cheesy and awkward dialogue hasn't changed at all, but I had some fun with this episode. If for anything else, hopefully this opens the door for more crossovers for any networks to comply with each other for a one-off.

If for anything else, this episode established the undeniable chemistry between Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist. Benoist has always been the highlight of the show for me, and putting her alongside Gustin proved to be a great choice. There isn't a whole lot of explanation for why Barry Allen ends up in National City, except that he was just "working on his speed and ended up going through dimensions". But if you can get past that lack of explanation, I don't see how you couldn't have fun watching these two heroes fight together side by side.

The initial scene of Flash meeting "team Supergirl" with Wyn geeking out like Cisco on Flash or Kara in absolute awe of Barry's powers was funny, even if the jealousy of James got in the way. I don't really care for any of the side arcs currently going on including Lucy Lane apparently being in charge at the DEO? Or Wyn's girlfriend turned super-villain, Banshee? Or yet another superhero show doing the "city against hero" storyline. Or really anything involving Cat Grant, but I did enjoy every bit of the dynamic between Supergirl and Flash.

Overall, it was a basic superhero arc with the hero having to convince the city he/she isn't all that bad (wow that was a cheesy ending in the park), but hey Flash and Supergirl teamed up and that was cool. I'm not sure how many more times, if ever, we'll see these two together again, but I enjoyed my time.

+Chemistry between Benoist and Gustin

+Flash meeting team Supergirl

-Same old story arcs

-Idiotic people in the park need to stay away from super-villains

Disappointing except for the two leads
siebertws133 April 2016
Admittedly, I've never watched "Supergirl," but this episode would never make me come back. Only watched because my 13-year old son & I are fans of "The Flash," but he and I both agreed it was a "meh."

Only good thing was the chemistry between the two leads, who are both charming and very appealing on screen.

Otherwise, it really felt like warmed-over "Flash," very similar opening credits, a cranky authority figure, a super secret scientific support group, a (much blander) interracial cast. And Supergirl - - she sure doesn't seem very "super" and gets her butt kicked a bunch by seemingly lesser bad gals. That was weird.

I did get a kick out of seeing Frasier's pushy agent as one of the villains' aunt. She's a great, brassy actress, whoever she is.

Not terrible, but nothing special at all. Very common TV.

Decent!
2013venjix28 March 2016
The episode was decent. The chemistry with Barry & Kara was fun & awkward at the same time. The villain team up, their...... Revenge Squad (based on the Superman Revenge Squad) was OK despite the fact That Cat Grant created 2 supervillains & not owning up to her mistakes. WHAT AN EGO! The problem thought-out this episode is continuity. The last Flash episode, "Trajectory" would have been a connection to this episode. the last five minutes would've shown Flash ran passed the Mach 3.3 mark & open a portal between alternate worlds (e.g. Supergirl universe).

Overall this episode was decent. It's NOT really worth the wait (besides Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice WAS worth the wait). But it's decent.

Because of The Flash guest starring, I gave this episode a: "4" out of 10.

Sudden rushed crossover
sachinthomas201417 August 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Pros 1)The chemistry between Barry and Kera is over 9000! 2)Silver Banshee make up was scary. 3)James Olsen being jealous of Barry was funny. 4)Cat Grand pleading with livewire was touching :( Cons 1)This seemed like a sudden and rushed episode. In The flash episode Barry on testing the tachyon episode disappears and appears immediately with confused look asking his team how much time has passed. He does not tell anyone he had been to another earth and saw a blond alien.Audience who was waiting to know the reaction of Cisco and Harrison Wells was so let down.It is crystal clear that Flash production team was not given a heads up and was forsed to cram it somewhere unlike The Flash-Arrow crossover. 2)While Barry and Kera have amazing chemistry, Supergirl and The Flash have Zero! They never defeat the bad guys but instead The flash get knocked down by livewire and then cringe inducing scene where supergirl knocked down while trying to protect a helicopter, Public crying suddenly! Public trying to protect supergirl and flash! And all of them saved by FIREFIGHTERS!!!!

Yes this is what I was expecting in crossover episode, FIREFIGHTERS saving the day.Not amazing combo fight sequences with Supergirl and The Flash.
