The dialogue was so hard to hear due to the overbearing & irritating background music. Needless to say I won't be watching it again which is sad because it's a great romantic story & the main characters had great chemistry.

Pretty good rom-com
herrcarter-9216124 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This was a pretty enjoyable rom-com. Not perfect, but for what it was, it was good. This is a Pixl/UPTV production, and the plotline is a bit more original than you might find on Hallmark.
I enjoyed the performances of Cassie Steele and Ryan Kennedy as the leads. They were genuine, likable and they seemed to have chemistry, at least when they were together. I wish they had been given more screen time together, even if it was on the phone and not in person. This movie should have been more like a "You've Got Mail" scenario, where the leads were having regular contact with each other throughout the movie, both face-to-face and otherwise, before the final resolution where their identities are revealed.
The plotline relied a whole lot on serendipity. Like, a WHOLE lot. It bordered on the ridiculous after a while. You had Jeff connected with Kelly on AutoCall, and they just happen to live in the same city, even though AutoCall has centers across the nation. You had their respective friends just happening to connect as a couple themselves. You had them just happening to pass by each other in the same restaurant, and then just happening to meet by chance later in Jeff's friend Zack's coffee shop. Then, you have Kelly's interior design firm just happening to be doing work on Jeff's boss's house, and Jeff just happening to show up at that house when Kelly is there. And yet, even with all these wildly impossible coincidences, it still takes those two a full movie to get together! Okay, it is a movie, and we need to suspend a little disbelief, but there seems to be an overabundance of disbelief to be suspended here.
The mid-movie plot twist, where Jeff's duplicitous work colleague Tom pretends to be him and goes out with Kelly, was pretty original. I'm not sure how he intended to keep that up long-term. Also not sure why he didn't eventually fess up to what he had done. But they make Tom's character just slimy enough to make this believable.
I like how Jeff's sensitive side comes out, especially when he is making the painful decision to really move on from his late wife, and when he is explaining to his boss that he left a good advertising job to work in a call center because his wife had died in a car accident. I'm glad they gave a logical and heartfelt reason for that otherwise nonsensical career move.
So, if you're looking for a feel-good, romantic movie with good performances and likable characters, this is your movie. It has a few rough spots, but just overlook them, like you would if you were watching your kid's school play, and you will love it.

Low-average TV movie

A very soft film (without action)

A very soft film (without action). The protagonist is Jeff who is an emergency operator who assists Kelly in an accident. Although many people obstruct fate, it has a hand. I have to make the connections to the psychological connections where the whole movie revolves.

Just ok

Main characters were ok. The Actor that played Tom, he's just awful. Not sure how he keeps getting acting gigs. And WOW, she says she doesn't need a tow while her car is in a ditch? Does she think the car fairies are going to come and pull it out and make it all better??? Just an ok movie, nothing special.
Fresh, differrent

I can't think of a premise like this out of several hundred movies of this type. (Larry Levinson is the producer and he did Hallmark type movies before there was a channel.) They stayed away from many of the common plot devices. Another aspect that was a little different is that this is really three love stories. Through the middle, they did some obvious things, like Tom's trick, but also some small surprises. I didn't see the surprise at the end coming and was kind of wondering how they were going to tie things together. They skipped over a couple of the ways you might have expected. So there's a lot of good in the story.
I do not like embarrassing comedy. Lots of calls to complete strangers trying to find the mystery girl. But that's just me.
Cassie Steele and Ryan Kennedy had chemistry when they were together in the story. Both did a good job. Steele did well with the insecure woman who is embarrassed half the time and Kennedy showed a lot of life despite the depressing back story which many actors would have played in a manner that was too reserved. But because of the way the story was structured, these weren't together as much as in some movies of this type. I missed that. The chemistry was between Kelley's friend and Jeff's friend, played by Karissa Tynes and Nathan Mitchell. I am a fan of Andrea Brooks in supporting roles, but I didn't care for her cavalier character. The viewer isn't supposed to like Andrew Francis' Tom, and even so, I thought he did it a bit too cliché.
I think the story is fresh enough with good characters so that it is worth a view.

Waste of talents

This movie was horrible. Definitely had potential. Kept dragging out am unnecessary plot. They could have made the search for her shorter or made the movie longer. Common the bfs dating and dont realize that their friends have been searching for each other. Not even mentioning it and dude busted the friend stocking kelly. Then they meet at the end and kiss not knowing one another and then it ends. Like that's it? What about a few dates first ? What about the friends cafe gig? What about the design job? And the douche coworker? Was a waste for these actors. It was annoying how long they kept dragging out the search. I'm like seriously they was just there, and there and there. Oh they meet.. naw let's keep searching for each other. I love cassie which is why I continued watching. Would not recommend.

Interesting but somewhat unrealistic concept
backupemailallthings4 September 2023
Interesting storyline. Somewhat farfetched/unrealistic but pretty cool compared. Parts of it were predictable. Found some parts to be funny even though I predicted some of the scenes.
The overall concept was great. One of few movies that I've seen that didn't require me to skip any part because it either got boring or too cheesy for me to watch.
The title was what made me not want to watch it initially. Glad I looked up the plot line to learn what it was about. I did have to rewatch some scenes because they went by too quickly, causing me to miss some details and be a bit confused as to what was going on.

Good movie

I liked the story. It was about starting over and putting the past behind.
The main characters were fine. Good performances by most of the cast. There was one character that was just horrible and very unlikeable.
I think the ending was too short. I could have used another few minutes to see how their friends reacted. Oh well...
Still a good movie and I may watch it again if it comes on.

When it comes to twists

7.6 stars.
Do you see a lot of Hallmark type movies that attempt to give an original version of "meant to be" encounters between soulmates? I can recall about a dozen of them. I have to admit, this one was craftier than most. I thoroughly enjoyed the comedic aspects of the interactions between the secondary characters. The lead female is new for me, I don't recall seeing her much if ever. I've seen the man a few times. The supporting female and male (barista) we're both new to me as well. The other supporting male (bozo call center co-worker) is very recognizable. He's a true slouch in this story.
The timing of lost opportunities and near misses was expertly engineered for full effect, and to me that gives this film more legitimacy as a work of art. It is entertainment for the sake of improving the audience's mood and experience. This is good filmmaking on a low budget.
