I love this episode. It's great when the show decides to do something totally different artistically. The story is the perfect combination of "basically no plot" (eg, an "and then something else happens" story) and complete absurdity. We go from watching the product placement within the show, to the animator leaving and the characters being alive. It is a little weird that the product mascot is aware of the contract that, presumably, a person actually made, but you gotta just roll with it. Don't question it. It's fine.
The live action section at the end was hilarious and I highly recommend watching it without spoilers. 10/10.
