Strange little mystery

Watched this 70 minute mystery movie tonight that I got from the library. There really isn't much to it, a loving couple one morning, the girl has completely disappeared with the back door wide open. there is no sign of her anywhere, and three years pass by, and the guy is engaged to be married to a new girl. A strange package appears on his front door, that contains something very very bizarre. It is so bad it affects him so much, it affects this affair, another three years pass by, and he has a new girl and another box appears on his door, and it is even more freaky. There is more to the story, but I don't want to give any spoilers. This is a little film, pretty short, but very well done. I liked it.

I have no doubt that everybody involved with this film was very sincere, but it really screams "student project." A lot of very flat dialogue, mixed bag of actors, meandering plot, and inappropriately loud music levels add up to an irritating viewing experience.

Viewers need to ask themselves one question posed early in the film: "Is the main character in hell?" If he is, then not much that happens matters, particularly minor scenes involving other characters that do not involve the protagonist.

I wanted to like it, but can't recommend.

Amazing movie treat...good indie flick...endearing actors...great script...the start was shaky but you get pulled in.

Wow! What a film! I stumbled across this film on Amazon and the poster art caught my eye. It strikes a wonderful balance between a sort of mumblecore film but also has some more traditional mystery elements. Most films I find like this are not very good but this is a real hidden gem. I highly recommend!
