A Snooze

I thought this had potential but ended up being boring. There was no coherent narrative and it felt like I was sitting in the living room with this George guy while he endlessly rambled on and on, without ever really saying much of anything.

Also dragging it down was the fact that it was just one note and one perspective and no real objectivity or context.

Kevin seemed much more interesting, but George just talked over him any time he had something he wanted to say. There is a brief moment near the end where the two men are debating attaining fame that threatens to be interesting but it's all too brief and much too late.

The plus side was it was edited quite nicely.

One of the most boring propaganda pieces ever produced
gghatesboobs4 October 2015
As someone who is a huge fan of documentaries I had high expectations going in to this especially since I was familiar with Gorgeous George's infamous exploits but was soon confronted with easily one of the most long drawn out propaganda pieces that is not only mostly filled with lies but dull as well.

There are a total of two moments which were semi-interesting (which lasts less than a minute in this almost 30 minute documentary) 1) is where George discusses his childhood 2) the brief moments that Kevin (George's co-host) discusses his life. 98% of the documentary is just George discussing how big he is with nothing that backs it up (and other random crap).

As mentioned before the major problem I have with this documentary is how Brandon & Kenny try to make George look like a victim when he has instigated most of the drama he has caused online. Why Kenny & Brandon never challenge him is at the minimum lazy and the other extreme covering up his infamy (it would be like doing a documentary on John Wayne Gacy and not discussing all the boys he murdered). The other problem I have was they didn't interview any of the people from SA, goons & trolls to get their side of the story. Either way it makes them look incompetent as documentary film makers. If that wasn't bad enough the editing job was a mess. I feel like they could have summarized what George was saying in a 1/3 of the time. The end result was the film feels excruciatingly longer than it really needs to be. Also their music selections are very generic and of the public domain or royalty free quality.

In review this is of the more horrible documentaries I have ever seen. George gets free reign to spout out what ever he says without getting challenged. It's almost like "A Day in The Life" in terms of propaganda except far more drawn out and far less interesting. The editing could have been far more precise and they left in far too much stuff that should have been left on the cutting room floor. In the end it is almost unwatchable at times and borderlines on being useless for what it is.

If you want to know about the real Gorgeous George there are sites like Encyclopedia Dramatica which have far more accurate information than this tripe.

Boring and uninformative.

I went into this documentary hoping that it would at least cover the more interesting aspects if George's show and life.

Instead, you get the impression that the documentary makers were either too lazy or scared to ask George any revealing questions. Well over 90% of the documentary is George just boasting and being obnoxious, with Kevin (George's co-host) occasionally chipping in with some actual insight.

You can learn more about George spending five minutes on Google, than you will in this half-hour documentary.

Propaganda for a Truly Vile Man
tready-6100929 May 2018
"Gorgeous" George Yarid has been hosting a public access TV show for 25 years and while this alone points to a degree of failure rarely seen outside of crippled lemmings unable even to throw themselves off a cliff to their deaths, the true vileness of George is his oft-demonstrated racism, homophobia, advocacy of violence against any one he dislikes, and general crassness, boorishness, and profligate vapid intellectual flatulence. None of these important issues is covered in this horrible documentary, whose only redeeming feature is the occasional insight by one Kevin Kravitz, the long-suffering co-host of this quarter-century-spanning abortion known as "The Gorgeous George Show". Also not noted is the lawsuit-crazed existence this buffoon slimes his way thru, suing anyone and everyone for his own truly Olympian failures, and the fact that George Yarid is currently under investigation for RAPE. Truly a bad documentary about truly a HORRIBLE person.
