Does it take me to paradise: Yessir
Where: #starz
How many: 1 season, 8 episodes ( approximately 1 hour each)
What's it about?: Based on a true story about origins of the "Black Mafia Family,"the founders are brothers who are natural hustlers establishing a business off of drugs.
Rating: 8.5/10
The good:
Based on a True Story: As I watched each episode, I became more and more intrigued by the story. And makes me excited for what's to come. Lastly, the focus is on Chicago, which gives a different vibe.
Raw: The drama, the unexpected deaths, the sex, the dialogue. I know this is a series, but we stand the raw drama that comes along with this.
Great Cast: Did you know the son ( Demetrius Flenory Jr) of Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory is playing his dad? So the similarities are spot on. Known actors from Da' Vinci, Russell Hornsby, Steve and Wood Harris, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Lala, Cash Doll, and Seryah.
The bad:
Was the climax of the finale rushed? Because I grew to highly dislike dusty ass, Lamar.
Verdict: If you like drama-filled series revolving around drugs, killing, and sex and are a fan of any of the 50 cent produced shows ( Power universe ), you will love this. This is rawer than the original Power.
