It looks very good when Bengali film industry tries to do something new. But it is a 3rd class remake of the original movie. Visual effects & cinematography were terrible. A total waste of time and money. One of the worst movies ever.

Absolutely bored of watching this 3rd class south remake film..
Koel and anushka shetty.. Indraneil and sonu sood..
Ha ha ha what a joke.. Worst acting worst cinematography worst choreography.. not even 1 percent of South Arundhati .. seriously fed up..
BFI should make their own films instead of this cheap copy.
Songs:- very loud insane loud Acting :- overdrammatic ..seems that Koel has not been paid so high, forcefully did so...
VFX?? No way.. even chota been has better VFX.. Costumes and jewelries of chap company

Kodi Ramakrishna, the director of the original film, got the idea for the movie after getting a National Award (Best Special Effects) for Anji(2004). This film was made after the director (might have) seen the original film's Hindi dubbed version in late 2013 (which the Bengali film directors mostly did for remaking these South Indian films). Sadly, Koel Mallick, Indraneil Sengupta, and other actors failed to do what was expected from this film. What we expected from Koel and Indranil wasn't this. Even Koel's body-language transformations for the titular character couldn't save this film from being a failure.
VFX - Not good.
Cinematography - Worse.
Acting - Overdone.
Result - Failed or "Wasted".
Our elders had told us, "Even the imitation has the limitation of common sense."
3 stars for Koel's efforts only!
