Designer Pups
dukeakasmudge13 September 2016
I woke up this morning, flipping through the movie channels, looking for something to watch. All the other movies were already in progress but Designer Pups was just about to start so I thought..... OK, I don't know what I was thinking.I have DVD's, Netflix, VHS tapes, etc, etc, etc. I could've been watching but instead, I watched Designer Pups.If I knew it was going to be that bad I would've (seriously) went back to sleep or something. As much as I (usually) avoid movies with talking animals, you think I would've known better.I imagine the only people that could actually enjoy this movie are toddlers or younger.I sat through this movie & still can't figure out why but at least I sat through it so now you don't have to unless you like or want to torture yourself. The 1 thing that keeps going through my mind is..... What was I thinking??? If you ever come across this movie, skip it

Sweet Little Movie
ngraphics-7800225 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
If you have the ability to just sit back and enjoy a movie. No Cell Phone use allowed. Then this is the one to watch! Remember this is a comedy! Watch the cutest little Doggies have adventures. And have a fun time watching the little guys The part I find best (Spoiler Alert) is that we the audience are the only ones that can see and hear the dogs talk. Always liked movies that break out that final wall. Is it a perfect movie - No. Is it a Great movie - Almost. Is it an enjoyable trip through the world - YES! So get ready for a Simple, Clean movie that you can show ANYONE at ANY AGE! Have fun!

Cute, but not memorable
inkblot1115 February 2019
Stacy (Teagan Sirsee) lives at home and helps out with the family dog grooming business. Secretly, this 20 year old longs to be a fashion designer and has a booklet full of promising drawings. Her two darling dogs give a running commentary, unheard by humans, of how they can nudge Stacy in fabric selection, for they also have a keen eye for fashion. On the day she has an appointment with hotshot designer Michel (Torrey Halverson), a last minute dog grooming assisnment leaves Stacy unkempt for her interview. It doesn't matter. Michel is an egomaniac and dismisses her ideas with insults. However, an actress named Chloe has an accidental meeting with Stacy and loves her drawings. Asking the young lady to design an outfit for a fashion show, Stacy scores a bit hit while Michel's entry tanks. Soon, Stacy is climbing the ladder of the LA fashion scene while Michel is going down, down, down. Desperate, Michel gets an idea to kidnap the dogs, thereby throwing Stacy off kilter. Will his plan to ruin Stacy succeed? This sweet and cute film, while hardly memorable, has an attractive young star in Sirsee and a hoot of a bad guy in Halverson. Also, the dogs, a Pekinese and a Chihuahua, are just darling. Kudos to the scenes and fashions, too, while the script/direction are acceptable. If you love dog films and fashion, you would be content for an evening view with this one.

A master"paw"iece

From the "top designer" having his entire studio made out of bedsheets, to the organic water, to the upside down temple run logo pajama pants. This movie is my favorite of all time. When we found this and jokingly watch it, we didn't realize we were about to be amazed. This left everyone is tears from laughter. With a perfect combination of top notch jokes and a low budget, this movie is art. We have watched it at least 4 times at this point and have it on DVD in case the power goes out and we need to watch it. Every time we watch, we discover new hilarious thought provoking details. Such as when the dogs are running around in the dog grooming van and you can see the shadow under the car of the people shaking the car. Or perhaps the designer pups special, orange people. Every time the fashion news is on the models have been put through so many filters that they all appear orange. Is this commentary on how our society expects perfection from celebrities, yes. Throughout the whole movie the main character creates many designs. However, our favorite designs came from our favorite character, James St. James. This movie is definitely worth the watch. It is a comedy you will never forget.

Thank you.
