A student studies hard throughout the year. However, due to his negligence, he skips the final examination and fails. Does this bizarre situation sound nonsensical? Well, can't help it. This is exactly the kind of feeling felt after watching this movie. Easily, the movie could have been the best film of the year, but instead, the last 10 min spoils the whole plot which was nicely set up for 2 hours. However, lot of positives to watch out for. Guruprasad has written some excellent dialogues(as expected; but don't expect it to beat "Matha"). Background score by Anoop Seelin is mind boggling. Cinematography and editing is crisp. However, the whole movie doesn't belong to hero (debutant)Dhananjay, but the entire limelight is hogged by Rangayana Raghu. He shows us why it is Kannada industry's loss if directors fail to utilize his immense talent. He certainly deserves States best actor award for this year for his role. The movie overall is certainly one time watch. However, watch it for Rangayana Raghu the second time.

this movie not everyone's cup of tea

Me being a die hard fan of Kannada Film Industry was extremely thrilled and happy to watch such a unique movie. I have watched so many movies (in many languages) that I can sought of gauge where the movie is heading in the first 20 minutes but this movie keeps you glued in till the end. The most impressing thing is about the small stories and conversations that the cast spell out, these may not add any substance to the movie but it boosts the curiosity and relevance of the viewer. It makes it more intriguing. But to understand the context of the sub stories we need to have a certain knowledge of our Indian History. This movie is not for the Westernized Mind. The lead adopts a family which includes Mother, Father, Sister & Brother, when he wins a handsome amount in Gambling, he brings home the cash bundle and the whole movie is about how the adopted family gets affected by this sudden richness which is just at their reach.

Not everyone will enjoy this movie, but me personally rate this movie as the best Kannada movie after Lucia.
