A uniquely filmed, written, and produced dystopian film.

Warning: Spoilers
One of the added values of After Exodus is the soundtrack. The movie, not having much of a spoken script, leaves the viewer to use the mood the music sets to fill in emotions. The protagonist does a fantastic job of portraying true fear during certain situations. The cinematography with the beach scenes, the marsh, woods, etc., is really touching when the music hits the mark. It has a strong Ridley Scott appeal to it. Being a huge post apocalyptic fan, I can't name one dystopian film that takes place primarily on a beach, and that in itself is fantastic and unique. Mr. Usry does an amazing job at keeping the viewer's eyes fixated on him...forcing us to wonder what he is thinking or planning on next. Praises to the writers, directors, producers and cast. Great job. Look forward to more productions by YAN.

Gorgeous setting for a post-apocalypse

Captivating photography takes center-stage in this low-budget film shot on a deserted island. It's rare to see a film without dialog that moves this effortlessly. Unanswered questions kept me intrigued and I'm a sucker for sci-fi, end-of-the-world-type flicks. The island-site gives the film a desolate background and apocalyptic feel. The lead character has a strong performance and the production quality is very good. This must have been a small-budget affair but obviously produced by experienced film-makers as the lighting and photography carry a lot of the film's creative momentum. I'd never say that it can compete with big-budget works, but I love the creativity and story development that the producers engaged. It's definitely worth a look.
