Mankind is way too overpowered and witches are just weak as hell

Based on after watching 10 episodes I get to realise that witches are way too nerfed in this anime. Even a normal soldier is killing most of the strongest witch without even sealing magic. Main character is little bit arrogant but his character is bound to be that way but the partner he got (Doroka) is more useless than Sakura (from Naruto) she is just a heavyweight on the shoulder of main character. Her love spell is weak as hell. Can't deny the fact that she is one of the weakest witches in the series. I hope she get a better character development in upcoming episodes. Overall it's an average series with one of the best and darkest starting. If I had rated this anime in episode 1 or 2 I would've given it 9.5 but as more episodes went out I felt disappointed. So my rating went down to 6 out of 10. I know science is powerful but the writer should respect the magic too, only adonis(main character) magic seems like a challenge to the science rest of them are useless and only 2 witches left both with love spell rest of them died in the moon by mere soldiers one of the witch is the one behind the extermination of witches who seems like having a challenging magic power(love spell) in her hand which she used on the king. Other than her(queen) the other one (Doroka) seems useless to me. Adonis is powerful but still he lacks combat and it feels like he is not on his full potential. Story writing is neither too good nor too bad it's just feels like average, I hope writer should make it more interesting and intense rather than boring day by day. I am not hurting anyone's point of view rather I am just sharing my point of view. Hope you will like it and you can choose by yourself whether to watch it or not, I am watching cause I wanna know what the writers do in the upcoming episodes.

This is some excellent

This is some excellent "so bad, it's good" material. It is tough to take seriously since it is so incredibly edgy. It's funny because the (many) tragic scenes are absurdly extravagant. It seems like the show was written by a child who was taken straight out of an Xbox voice chat for Call of Duty.

There aren't many characters in this that you will like. The protagonist assaults others for incredibly trivial motives. The empire, our adversarial force, is committing genocide because, well, they're nasty. If someone watched this and all they took away was that it's edgy and all the subtlety is lost, then it sounds a lot like a certain megahit series with a wicked protagonist seeking retribution on the world for genocide. Kingdoms of Ruin is a great comedy even if it has rapidly established itself as absolutely awful television.

Not Bad

Honestly at the beginning it was boring but once you got to the middle it was not bad. The beginning was slow and boring with descent visuals. Once your mid way it actually starts to draw you in. Explaining the world and everyone's emotions about it. Though the characters are very one one dimensional which isn't not plus. Though the story line towards the end seems to get really interesting. Which makes me think it has promise.

Good emotional anime to teach about letting go of one overwhelming emotion. That and just something to watch. At the very least its better than most TVs shows out there now. Not everything has to be a 10/10.

All style, no substance

The beginning is good, but not amazing. The more you get into the story, the worse it gets. For me 1 star is almost to much. I've seen some animes, I don't consider an expert, because I am not, but to have 10 episodes (so far) with almost 16-18 minutes per episode...this is straight up BS. For me, it means only one thing: "I am a writer, I have only a couple of ideas, let's see how much can I go with those episodes in order to increase my viewership, because I am lacking of more imagination." Fun fact, there are animes with 30min per episodes with Seasons, alright? And there are better at storytelling than most of the nowadays movies. Think about it.

To be fair, I don't know where the story wants to go. At this point its just a waste of time.

Long Winded & Annoying

I'm not one for writing reviews so you can imagine how awful this is. As someone whose watched anime religiously for nearly 30 years. This is one of the worst.

Took 7 episodes just to set the main protagonists into the true plot of the story. Which is always their journey.

The main character is annoyingly ignorant. Which is unbelievable, as hardship normally makes the character wise and more clever.

Then the girl is frustratingly playing a role that interferes with the main characters progress throughout.

Its actually given me a real headache.

From the beginning it set the tone to be a fantastic dark fantasy about revenge. It had the gore and fair quality of animation. The plot was set perfectly for a great anime.

The more you watch it, the more you will be left annoyed. As the fight scenes build up your excitement for something epic. Only for it to deviate far from your expectations in the worst way.

I'm not sure if this was out of the authors desire to make it unexpected and unconventional. However it achieved that in negative aspect.

My recommendation is spare yourselves the headache and waste of time.

Calling it a trash anime would be an understatement.

And that's not even my thoughts based on my preference. There are many anime that do not appeal to me that much that I can still say are good shows.

Calling this anime trash would be a kindness.

Seriously, don't waste your time and suffer this, unless you are a serious masochist.

Wow what an intro

Only 3 episodes in and I'm not familiar with the source material but I don't think I've been as interested in an anime concept since Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress

The animation isn't absolutely amazing but so far I'm really enjoying every second.

The plot and action sequences are fired at you like a shotgun with not a single boring moment or any filler (so far) for that matter.

Also I'd you like anti heroes, well...put it this way the MC isn't a hero. Think Vic Makey/neo with magic. However he isn't invincible like we get in so many other animes, he is vulnerable which adds to the tension. I definitely recommend.

B-tier at best. Watch if you're trully out of better anime to watch

This started in a promising manner. You see some gruesome deaths and are led to believe this will be a gnarly tail of revenge that leaves you hanging on the edge of your seat.

Then they make no attempt to develop the characters in any way shape or form and the whole series dialogue could be summed up as;

"hey, i don't know who you are but I'm gonna revenge ya" "Ohh hey, you have nothing to do with my plot? Well, guess i better revenge you anyway" "innaniment object in my field of view? Ohh you better believe that's a revenging"

The characters end up with as many dimensions as a singular point in space (math joke) and are so poorly written it makes you wonder if the writer is just throwing his (or Her, or it, no need to cancel me) 12vie angst in our face and passing it off as art.

What a waste...

"Huurrr duurrr REVENGE!" That's it. Extremely bad decisions one after the other.

5 episodes in. What a complete dumb waste of time. Protagonist appears to have an IQ in the 50's. Witches can only talk and die. Humanity is out of resources but has unlimited resources. I feel bad for the artists and voice actors. What a great premise with an adult rating. What a waste of time for all involved...

I used to think that an adult anime with decent production was impossible to screw up. Yet here we are. Unnecessary long fights. REALLY DUMB decision making from every character. Mages, soldiers, space, violence, what could go wrong?!? Really bad writing.

Great Anime!!

It's not your typical kind of anime, the MC is an anti-hero instead of a hero. Sure he's a bit edgy but it's justified since he's out for revenge. This is a tragic story and the writer didn't hold back on the bloodshed cause there's a lot. No fillers in this 12 episode season.

I can't make a perfect comparison to which this anime resembles the most but the MC reminds of the MCs from "The Rising Of The Shield Hero" and "Attack On Titan".

The anime isn't all style and no substance, there is substance! The MC is on a path of revenge and has to make difficult choices throughout his journey which has significant consequences.

My only gripe is the pink haired girl, when you watch the anime you will understand...

In conclusion this is a good anime and i cant wait for season 2!

Worst Anime I've Watched so far

I've watched anime for at least 3 years and this one has been the worst one by far. Even the starting was way too sudden, I really wanted to skip watching but I was curious. In the end, all it managed to do was waste my time. It's mid. Extremely mid. I looked at the rating and I thought hey maybe it won't be the worst anime in the world but boy was I wrong. I really just wish I never wasted so much time on this anime. I feel like the time I wasted could be spent on so many other options. To be honest, all the story had was the revenge the protagonist was supposed to take, but it really felt like that never happened, I mean I seriously ended the anime but I never really saw anything at all. Truly the worst.

What a great show so far

Hello fellow humans,

I have watched the first 2 episodes so far and wow. This show is amazing so far. Insane twists and they aren't afraid to kill off people. First before anything else I have to say why is that one guys ear lobes so freaking huge? I mean seriously they are beyond massive. Ok so you have witches who are gods first design and then humans who are basically corrupt evil monkeys like we are now. So these witches are to help mankind. But like always man is jealous and kills off witches because they are different and have powers which humans are jealous of. Typical human behavior.

They kill this powerful witch but leave the human boy and place him into a prison. Then you have these prisons that are full of women that are essentially sex slaves. A pink haired one is an undercover witch who wants to free this boy. She does and all the other women. First why aren't the women killing the guards. That's their first mistake. However the pink haired girl frees the boy.

Now this boy now a man goes on a rampage. Which is pretty awesome. However for being captured for over 10 years he doesn't have a huge imagination. I mean he makes a bullet grow and shoots just one. Then he makes a giant with only two arms and he is held by one arm. Seriously if I was in his shoes. I would have fired as many giant bullets as I could. Then I would have made a bunch of small death robot golem creatures to rampage all around me. Then the giant if he could only make one why didn't he give it 4 arms and a center place for him to be in? That was his main mistake.

Then of course the pink hair girl cries and trys to get him to stop. Apparently she is a witch. The best thing is she gets shot. That was great because most anime would make it so she lives and makes him a better man. But not this one. He goes nuts and kills tons more humans. But some how he loses. Such a shame. I mean seriously why doesn't he have small golems helping him kill and protect him. This was his major flaw that if I was in his shoes would not have made.

The only issue I have with this show is this. It seems the humans are at a technical age of the late 1600s or so. But apparently they were able to jump to today's level of technology within 20ish years and beyond with nano technology and robotics. It makes no sense how they could jump this far ahead in so little time.

This is a great show. NOT for kids. So if you have them watch it when they go to sleep. Worth watching so far.

So bad it can't make bad but good status.

An Anime that offered such promise fails in every aspect. The protagonist is far more of an antagonist than his crybaby. Attitude never changes and all the other characters are completely generic and offer nothing. It is as though someone cut and pasted a bunch of ideas from somewhere but did not know how to put them together to make sense.

I have never seen an anime go downhill in every episode and I have watched a lot of bad anime.

The premise is great and if the idea was taken up with a decent writer who understood plotlines and character building then we could have a hit anime. But this failed completely for me. But then to me world building has to have some consistent inner reality so if you don't need that then give it a try.

Black Air Force start goes to just trash

This stuff kinda disappoints me. I hate to say it but this show already went to nothing in about 5 episodes. They just ran out of ideas and tried to do too much. I just wanted a slaughter and we got something boring as hell.

I hate when shows do this. Now I would've been very happy for a 12 episode run of this guy bringing down an empire using violent gun magic like Americans when they discover oil in a sketchy morals third world dictator led country. But no. They didn't do it fast enough. So we have another dustbin show.

I won't even grace this new review (as my old 7/10 did) with the details on anything but the fact that this show is terrible and not worth its money. I don't think it's a 1/10 by any means but I would certainly say this is below average and therefore not watchable really. Don't waste your time and just watch the Eminence in Shadow or Misfit of Demon King Academy or Overlord for the edgelord genre because this isn't it. 4/10 if generous.

Great Start But Left Incomplete

Unlike many Anime's i have watched which are 12 episodes do adjust to the storyline to complete the series in these episodes. But Kingdoms of Ruins got over before it could even start so i hope directors would continue this Anime in future and make 50+ episodes.

Rest it is great dark anime, I am too love with Chloe and truly I would burn the world myself in the loss of her. So i feel connection with the main protagonist and want to watch him to get his revenge.

There is so much that would be done with the storyline for this Anime and how all witches could come back alive using time travel magic or the hero discover seed of the witches tree to grow it back. Or how hero is bestowed with Chloe weapon. So there is endless story sequel which can be made.

Protagonist has summoning magic so he could learn summoning dead witches to aid his battles. Also, we need to do something about that magic jamming device.

Worst anime I ever watched

They should change the name of this anime to Selfish MC that has no character depth nor intelligence. So much hatred from both sides that it makes the MC a senseless meathead( but no physical abilities) that's a hypocrite to what his teacher taught him. This could of all ended in one episode, just blow up the earth and the moon and the end. Whoever wrote this seems to be full of hatred with a mommy complex. Creator should just not ever write another manga or an anime, just go hide in a cave and die out. I hope this doesn't get much fan fate and never comes out with a second season, I mean by God who has this much hatred to write something so over the top that the MC will kill everyone just to avenge is mental mommy issues.
