A commoner in a trial against a movie star. Who hurt who on the alpine trail. Amount of compensation and questions of liability. Those are the main ingredients of this documentary on HBO. Basically, such documentaries can be entertaining and provide insight. The documentary is thorough in that there is a lot of footage from the trial itself. Interviews with those involved in the case. With the exception of defendants and accusers.
The reason why this does not get a high score from me is that the problem, the case, is too boring. An incident on a ski slope didn't grab me enough to let me get carried away by this one. It is one thing to spend 3 minutes reading about the matter online. Something else to spend over an hour on television to follow all the details. For those who are perhaps even more concerned with celebrities and especially Paltrow, it is certainly "spot on". For others, I think it will all be meaningless in the long run.
