Winnie the garbage
lud4839248223 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Winnie the Pooh has been not much in the spotlight in the 2010's, we had the reboot in 2011, the live action in 2018, and here we are now. This show is the first WTP show in 16 years. The wait was ehhh. Not fully worth it. The show is geared towards LITTLE KIDS. I am too old for this show and it would feel weird telling people about it. Tigger and Pooh was for kids, book of Pooh and new adventures was for any age. They removed Jim Cummings and all the others. The show has child actors because this was about "younger Pooh". The show would also be more enjoyable if it was longer (12-20 mins). The biggest problem is that the show aired at a random time slot. Disney support just told me to wait for Friday morning and see the show on. So I sat for two hours (started at 7am). Finally, At 9:30. The show came on. And ended. This show I waited for was TWO FREAKING MINUTES!!!! Along with me and Winnie the Pooh, the show is also two minutes. So disappointing. Just binge all the episodes when they come onto Disney plus, all of them will equal 10 minutes total to binge. Disney should be more faithful with their franchises, not make them completely new and unoriginal.

It ruined a lot of the franchise
TP827321 September 2023
Disney should stop salvaging their franchises and making them new to appeal to little kids. By redesigning characters and removing the original charm of these originals. They have ruined Winnie the Pooh for me and everyone else. So embarrassing and disgusting. It sickens me when studios recycle and make things worse for this new 2020 generation. Literally put your kids to watch the cartoons that made them the stars they are now. Not some stupid shorts about baby Pooh and baby tigger baby piglet playing with toys for 2 minutes. Could even bore a toddler who is a Pooh fan or whichever. Just stay away from this disgrace.

I always liked Winnie the Pooh, but this reboot is weird and this doesn't feel like the original Winnie the Pooh.

Warning: Spoilers
Winnie the Pooh has always been one of the best Disney franchises. I really enjoyed the 1920s Winnie the Pooh books by A. A. Milne. And I really enjoyed the classic Disney Winnie the Pooh cartoons. (Spoiler warning) But this reboot is awful, because this isn't our beloved Winnie the Pooh. The characters seem really different and sounded too young. Disney should've made a Winnie the Pooh reboot with the original characters with their original voices instead of making this reboot that shouldn't exist. I really wish this reboot didn't exist. Why would Disney assume this would be our beloved Winnie the Pooh? The characters in this Winnie the Pooh reboot are very different than the original beloved Winnie the Pooh characters, and that makes this reboot suck. I really miss the original Winnie the Pooh. Please bring the original Winnie the Pooh back, Disney.

Something big turned out into a flop
anyamadjdks8 September 2023
I don't care what anyone says about this show. You may think that sounds like I am defending it. But I am clearly against this garbage. This show belongs in the Cocomelon bin with kids who were born around 2021. You were an amazing person to know that Winnie the Pooh's old series were one million times better. Like, how do you feel about Jim Cummings and piglet's VA. They probably are upset because they won't be in the spotlight for a lonnng time. I feel bad that kids and redesigns are ruining Winnie the Pooh, and even affecting the entire franchise. Look at the analysis, all the old Pooh series ( except that creepy Pooh corner) were highly rated and loved by Disney fans and practically anyone of all ages. My friends tigger and Pooh, that's a comedy/mystery for sleuthin!, Book of Pooh is a great series that is nostalgic and you could never get bored of watching! The new adventures is basically anything perfect. And then there's this show.

Disney is a dumpster fire
ccchs15 January 2024
My kids were excited for this to come out only to find that the "episodes" are only two minutes long and Disney disabled the autoplay feature for this series so you have to change the episodes over for them every two minutes which is rather irritating as a busy parent who doesn't want to sit down and watch children's music videos. If Disney enables the autoplay feature for this series that would make a big difference, but the fact they also only put in the effort to make 2 minute long songs for every episode and marketed it as full length episodes just shows how grimmy Disney has become as a company and only helps to highlight them as a cash grab company that doesn't care about putting out quality work anymore. Disney is a dumpster fire trying to burn up everything in sight for a dollar.

ANOTHER FRANCHISE RUINED BY DISNEY.
cjklein-213005 February 2024
I love Winnie the pooh. I grew up with watching alot of the movies & tv shows based on the stories by A. A Milne. The stories made me so happy that I shed a tear out of my eye. BUT THIS IS THE WORST SPIN OFF OF WINNIE THE POOH EVER!!! Many people who watched Winnie the pooh over the years charmed audiences with love & laughter all over the world. But this is something people will not love. People are gonna say "This isn't what we grew up to. In my opinion, I think parents should not let there childrem watch this show.

To the creators of this project who work at Disney: PLEASE CANCEL THE SHOW.

It's actually really cute (warning I use the word cute a lot)
goatspace-762113 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I see many people initially put off by the many changes of the show, which is understandable. I would say one of the few issues with this adaptation is that it loses the original charm. It's no longer about a boy and his beloved stuffed animals, instead it's his stuffed animals reimagined as young children. Even some beloved characters are omitted. For example I hear Roo isn't going to be in the show which makes me sad and makes me nervous on how the change will effect Kanga's character (hopefully the team manages to pull her character off nonetheless... Kanga without Roo is a very, very different character).

It's not nearly as sentimental or as thought provoking as the original movies or books. It is a 2 minute long show for **babies/toddlers**, but still. I also find Pooh's design to be a little strange... without his original beady eyes he looks like any other bear character.

However, as a die hard Winnie the Pooh fan (and despite all my issues), I would say this show is actually cute when you give it a chance!

  • I would say that the visuals and animation is very nice. I like the stop motion feel and the background designs (ex. Each character's house feels very in character for them).

  • I actually find the designs of the characters to be very adorable. Especially Tigger and Piglet (cmon. Youre lying if you think Piglet is ugly in this show). Sure, the lack of beady eyes feels strange (esp with Pooh but even then he still is a lil cute to me), but other then that it's not awful.

  • The change in voice acting isn't a huge problem. I find that Tigger's va does a really good job. To me, he actually does sound like Tigger! Just a younger one, which is obviously what they intended. There is also some singing in here and it's quite enjoyable to listen to.

  • The plotlines aren't bad (but to be fair they're nothing special either). They're short, simple, and cute, with little substance. However, considering this is a 2 minute show directed at toddlers, I don't think it needs to be anything more than that. They made me smile while watching it anyway.

Overall, the show is v cute and perfect for youngins. It's not nearly as awful as people are making it out to be in my opinion.

Grown adults seem very bothered by a toddler show
launchpadpod9 January 2024
My 3 year old loves it. The music is tolerable and the animation is actually impressively rendered with lots of textures and a nice stop motion aesthetic.

The episodes are short (2 minutes) so my only qualm is on Disney plus it is not strung together as one longer program but as many individual episodes. The theme song / credit interludes get tedious.

I was astonished to find so many angry reviews from *ahem* adults complaining about a toddler snow. It "Ruined" Pooh Bear!? Pu-lease. Not every program will be tailored to you and I'm sure there will be more Pooh Bear in the future that fits the "classic" vibe you seem to be pining for. To see so many of these aggressive reviews from adults on a show aimed at kids...pathetic.

My daughter loves it!
terrahjanaest12 October 2023
I've personally never watched Winnie the Pooh growing up because I could never get into it. My SO did though and even then I feel we enjoy it more than our little one :) I feel it teaches some pretty good lessons fairly quickly, such as conquering fears or having to calm down before doing a certain task (at least that's what I gathered from them and what I've been teaching my girl). I just wish they were a bit longer and had a thicker plot but other than that I think it's a really cute art style and a pretty good way to keep the younger gens. Interested in things from our pasts. We're all looking forward to the newest episodes as the songs are fairly catchy :)
