An innocent comedy that creates some inquisitive

Kunal khemu has been an underrated comedian for a real long time. He displays versatile comedy in this with great actors such as JOHNY LEVER, SATISH KAUSHIK & CHUNKY PANDEY.

Never the less, even Ms. Sanon does display some mere talent in the movie.

However to the plot leaves us in some suspense to know there maybe a sequel to the same. A few lame jokes here and there, with a few english slangs allowed v/s few Hindi slangs tried to be covered up or hushed seem a little off track. I did not get the logic of external narrators which were only a distraction.

Overall it's a good watch that can be either a hit or a miss too.

BRILLIANT CAST - AVERAGE COMEDY

To be frank, the series that sparked my interest and led me to watch it didn't live up to my expectations, leaving me with no desire to re-watch it.

Pros: The series offers a refreshing break from the current trend of dark humor and dark storylines, making it a great choice for family viewing.

The outstanding cast, including Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Satish Kaushik, Chunky Pandey, Saurabh Shukla and Zakir Hussain, creates a brilliant pool of characters that is sure to please audiences.

Kunal Khemmu deserves special recognition for his exceptional acting, while Jamie does a fair enough job in her role.

The message conveyed at the end of the series is something that our country needs right now.

Cons: The series focuses too heavily on the central idea of "Pop Kaun?" to the point of becoming predictable and stale.

The humor lacks originality and fails to introduce fresh stock of jokes that could become a trend in recent times.

The series deviates from its actual path and has a very average storyline, which could have been more fun given its outstanding cast.

The jokes and punchlines are forced and stale, resembling those from childhood. #ForcedRhymes #StaleHumor #PoorExecution The character of Nupur feels like a misfit in the brilliant casting.

The ending is disappointing, as it fails to deliver anything unexpected, and the cliffhanger towards the second season with the same storyline of searching for Nupur's Pop Kaun? Feels lame and stale.

The series ultimately disappoints despite featuring an exceptional cast.

In summary, while the series has some great aspects such as a refreshing change from the current trend, a brilliant cast, and an important message, it falls short with a predictable storyline, stale humor, and a disappointing ending that is unsatisfying for audiences.

A random childish stage play drama

Right from when the series begins you will realise how this one is like a random stage play comedy drama.

Scenes change randomly to some scene and intro sequence begins all of a sudden. It feels like a film chopped into a 6 episode series. Everything happening in this series is just random. It feels like a play made for kids and even written by a kid because we are in 2023 and such kind of comedy and execution may not be crass but is outright kiddish. So kids might enjoy this series.

Coming to the comedy. It's a 40% hit and remaining percentage miss. All thanks to the greatest Indian writer Farhad Samji , we are treated to jokes of kindergarten level and we are expected to laugh at them. However, the fact is some comedy sequences genuinely works well like the sequence where Johnny lever while dancing starts to get get a heart attack and everyone assuming he's holding his chest as a dance move follows him xD. Yes some parts will remind you of the 2000s era of comedy in Bollywood but the remaining comedy is just either too childish , too low iq ones or too WhatsApp-ish. A late father is understood by a church father as a father arriving late!! Absolutely nonsense.

Performance wise, all are average. Johnny lever has a few laughs but has the cringiest character. Rajpal Yadav is totally wasted . We get to see late Satish kaushik maybe one last time and he too has been handed some really bad jokes like "baccha girana" (abortion) is termed by him as take a baby and throw it to ground!!?? What rubbish. Kunal khemu is the only one putting in some effort. Saurabh shukla too has a cringy character like Johnny lever. Nupur Sanon, was she even there in this series? Idk.

Overall , if you love kiddish jokes and no brainers, you might like this otherwise skip.

Good mix of story and comedy

I expected the show to be pure comedy like people going around hitting each other, getting shocked etc, but I was surprise that this had a decent story with a good mix of drama and comedy.

If someone's looking for pure comedy then this is not the show for you.

The amount of comedy is almost like any other comedy movie. There are scenes that make your eyes watery but also that make them happy(I guess that's not a good way to put it).

Seeing rating of 6.4 I was doubtful that this show would be good but I decided to give it a try since a lot of good comedians were involved.

I am happily surprised by my reaction and I would like others to try this.

Superb light hearted comedy with intelligent wordplay

The entire series was amazing. Comedy had become repetitive for sometime now but this had its uniqueness. The story had funny twists and dialogue writing was very refreshing. The habits of some of the characters to either mixup words or to react little later than actual events were intelligently thought and was hilarious. All episodes put together is slightly longer than a movie runtime but I only wish it was longer. I strongly recommend to watch this series if you're someone who enjoys light hearted comedy. This series definitely had few moments where you would burst out of laughter.

Casting was spot on. Thoroughly enjoyed this series.

Very very poor .. even though all big names Jhonny lever, Kunal, Rajpal but very poor acting ... Nupur needs to go to acting school to learn she is very bad chunky Pandey acting is soooo bad .. poor writing dialogue delivery... They made just for sale ... Overacting.. just wasted my Friday ... Sorry but not even 1 star writer and direction are very very poor .. nupur acting was so bad very very bad overacting just .. this is called nepotism just coz she is Kirti sister she got this role .. her facial expressions is very very bad .. plz don't watch .. poor old comedy and jokes .. Jamie lever acting is so lame and same .. she should come up with new.

If you are a fan of 2000s Bollywood comedies and the cast, then it is worth watching this film, despite what other critics may say. Director Farhad Samji has shown significant improvement in his comedy directing skills. The plot is straightforward, and some of the jokes may be familiar, but the presentation is enjoyable. The characters are well-written, and the story remains grounded, with excellent comic timing throughout. The entire cast delivers their roles with their best efforts, making for an entertaining experience. In recent movies, I haven't laughed as much, but this one gave me unexpected fun. I watched it in two seatings only, which speaks to it's watchability. The songs are well-suited for the comedy genre, although I skipped most of them. While the storyline may not always make sense, it's all in good fun.

Pop kaun..who cares

The series is about who is the father but who cares when you show in such a way.....:

Great comedians were seen but no quality humour was produced rather it was irritating.....

The concept was good with great actors but director farhad could not conclude the way it should be......

Some silly humour was shown but it did not help the series to get better even children will not like it......

Sorry to the entire team for negative reviews hope to see some good entertainment from your side.....

I think this weekend is for rocket boys 2 or in theatres zwigato and Mrs Chatterjee v/s Norway.

Worth watching

It's really a worth watching comedy series. All characters are my favorite in this series specially Kunal Khemu, Johnny Lever and Saurabh Shukla have done their best.

All of u just try First episode you will get to know how good is this series and comedy is top notch I will give it 10 out of 10. Director Farhad Samji also done his work good.

Some joke is too good that you can't able to control your laugh. Kunal Khemu is really a underrated actor he must do more movies to entertain us.

There are 6 episodes in this series and none of the episodes are boring. The songs in the episodes also too goods in listening. Just watch It's A Full Paisa Wasool.......😏😏😏

Taking comedy legends doesn't make you laugh there needs to be a script, good dialogues for people to laugh aisa lagra tha chote bacche joke maare hai please remove this director from Hera pheri 3 he will ruin it.

Even hungama 2 is better than this that's where priyadarshan sir stands out. This series was more focused on delivering a social motive than comedy.

Agar social message dena tha toh Documentary bana dete.

Only good thing about the movie is Johny lever, Saurabh shukla and the late actor Satish kaushik rest I have no clue on what bases they are in the movie sirf idhar udhar se actors uthaye hai.

After a long time watched something fresh a hardcore good comedy movie that makes you laugh like anything, the characters are really funny , some moments are hilarious and you really need some popcorn to get to know the pop kaun , the sequel is coming and waiting. Kunal Khemu is good , he should do more movies. Nupur Sanon is charming. Every actors done there part nicely, a movie that you can watch with your families and enjoy. Don't want to give the spoiler and don't watch the movie with any logic, just enjoy the movie where so many comedian actors come together and make you laugh and it's Satish kaushik last movie too. I think Paresh Rawal should have been in the movie too. 10/10.

This is the worst Comedy movie/ web series I've ever watched. I don't actually believe that Hotstar officials approved this thing to be released on their platform. The camera work is very very poor and you often notice unusual camera moments let's not talk about set design.

Why I'm not talking about acting and performance?

Because there were NON OF THEM.

No Acting, No dialogue, No performance, and such a good cast has been wasted successfully by Director Farhad Samji.

This person should find any other job but not directing the movies because he just don't know anything about movies and camera works etc.

Afte so many days I am watching such Comedy webseries/Movie.

It keeps your intrest due to fast story.

Each and every actor has done fabulous role. Specially Kunal Khemu.

It worth watch with family on weekend to refresh the mood. I think far far better than Salman, SRK movies who promotes only nudity.

Actor like kunal khemu is required in industry where he has given comedy as well as serious roles like Abhay Web Series.

We need to suppot the actors on their acting and the quality of content. Here I got the both.

All senior Actors also strengthen the series and upscaled the content.

So guys ..... Must Watch.

Started watching this series for Kunal Khemu as he nails comedy roles. After two episodes, I had to check who directed this nonsense. And after seeing the name of Farhad Samji associated with it, I had no doubts remaining.

This man has never given any above-average comedy movie in his life yet he finds works.

The story lacks interest and is an amalgam of jokes written for children and forward messages of the 2000s era.

Every single joke, and every single punchline made by the actors has been copied from social media, pop culture, and 2000s forward messages.

This series has an amazing cast and only this director knows how to give terrible projects with such stellar cast.

Talking about Nupur Sanon, this girl is new and needs more acting classes and she might find her place in the industry just like her sister Kriti Sanon.

Overall, I'd say yet again Farhad Samji has disappointed us with his below-average work.

Someone, please get him off Hera Pheri 3.

The web series is an absolute waste of energy and time. They are trying to rush jokes in every dialogue and every moment without any logic and sense. No plot, No explanation to anything, No nothing. It is the worst performance every by the Brilliant comedy actors in the film. Total waste of their talent. Very illogical comedy. Doesn't contain a serious or emotional scene in the whole series. Even in emotional scenes they are forcibly trying to put bad jokes. I would highly not recommend to waste your time on this. I wasted my 2 hours on this enormously worst series. It should be removed from Disney hotstar. No recommendation.

This is very mutch brilliant.. if u hav been a fan of bollywood movies since Govinda times. Uv gona luv the characters.. but this is no old age style commedy.. its pretty much very sarcastic and inteligent comedy Its fun to watch old favorites together again.. What give is next edge is Brilliant Kunal Khemu.. lvd him in Go Goa Gone.. he is just british level comedian.. i truly insist u guys to watch this.. Indian Comedy is in terrible decline.. nd these guys are actually saving it.. This series walks the sensitive line of comedy thats not even seen for the past 20 years.. Worth watching guys.. !!

This is just like a fresh air in the Indian OTT platform. A Great Comedy story with 0% vulgarity. You can watch with your family and enjoy. All the artists are in their level best. Dialogues are hilarious.!Lyrics of the title song is brilliant. Story twisting is just unbelievable. In recent years Obscene dialogues and almost semi nude scenes are very common in Indian web series. People are habituated with these. But after PANCHAYET this POP KAUN will be remembered for years. Johnny Lever and his daughter acted flawlessly in the show.

We will certainly miss great Satish Kaushikji in the SEASON 2.

Well done Disney plus hotstar team for bring this funny web series for us.we are all waiting from a long time to see comedy series but after a long time this gaps fulfilled by Disney plus hotstar. This series is family friendly there is no vulgar scenes and no vulgar language used. It can be seen with family and with friends. This web series is full of suspense when you start watching you doesn't feel boring the series from starting to end is just like that what will happen next so this is not so boring. You will not feel how this six or seven episode passed.well done Disney plus hotstar keep bring family friendly series.

Pop Kaun?

Laughter is the best medicine and if it's given by legendary comedians, it makes life more beautiful. Watched awesome comic series Pop Kaun? A funny take on 'Mera Baap Kaun Hai' kinda story. Not a dull moment anywhere throughout the series.

So many comic legends under one roof. Share some light moments, laugh out loud with your family. A feel good fabulous series after a long time. Only on Disney+Hotstar.

P. S. - Kunal Khemu surprises with his acting prowess, Johny Lever's daughter Jamie Lever leaves an everlasting mark with her on point comic timing. Kudos to the director and story writer. 👏👏👏

"POP" Kaun he pata chal gaya..

This was purely a comedy show which made me laugh till the last episode. Till the end of the series I continued to laugh as I found it quite entertaining.

I don't know why the name of "Farhd Samji" is used as a director known for bad comedy. Because all of his directed projects makes me laugh. They are enjoyable. If you are coming to see a comedy series and finding sense, using your brain then you are totally a nonsense.

Coming to the series back, this wsa worth paying and family friendly show. It also teaches a lesson at the end. All actors have done fabulous work. Just put your brain down and enjoy watching it.

Great performance from each of these legendary actors. A complete laughter riot, light hearted. Just watch it for the fun it brings.

Kunal Khemu is underrated- i feel he is one of the finest actors. The director certainly knows how to use the strength of the actors. I loved how beautifully Johnny Lever has portrayed Brij Kishore's 10 second late reaction scenes - they were among the most hilarious moments of the movie. The other legendary actors - Late Great Satish Kaushik, Chunky Pandey, Rajpal Yadav, Ashwini Kalsekar, Saurabh Shukla have justified the roles with their superb roleplays. Jamie Lever is no less - top notch entertainer. Overall, loved the movie. Thumbs Up!

Best serious to remember Satish Kaushik as his last on screen play.. Keep your mind out, it's a comedy series ... And one of the most funniest series I have ever watched in hindi..... Mazza aa gaya... Everyone gave there best.... On point songs... Sahi jagah pe sahi istamaal.

Even at scenes which were seems to get serious.. Director and writers have created magic of comedy..

Character of Jony liver sir... How any one can think of that character... And what a timing he have given.... Awesome is too small to say.

Saurav Shukla.. Rajpal yadav.... Each and everyone have given there damn great performance..
