Pop Kaun? (2023)
BRILLIANT CAST - AVERAGE COMEDY
To be frank, the series that sparked my interest and led me to watch it didn't live up to my expectations, leaving me with no desire to re-watch it.
Pros:
The series offers a refreshing break from the current trend of dark humor and dark storylines, making it a great choice for family viewing.
The outstanding cast, including Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Satish Kaushik, Chunky Pandey, Saurabh Shukla and Zakir Hussain, creates a brilliant pool of characters that is sure to please audiences.
Kunal Khemmu deserves special recognition for his exceptional acting, while Jamie does a fair enough job in her role.
The message conveyed at the end of the series is something that our country needs right now.
Cons:
The series focuses too heavily on the central idea of "Pop Kaun?" to the point of becoming predictable and stale.
The humor lacks originality and fails to introduce fresh stock of jokes that could become a trend in recent times.
The series deviates from its actual path and has a very average storyline, which could have been more fun given its outstanding cast.
The jokes and punchlines are forced and stale, resembling those from childhood. #ForcedRhymes #StaleHumor #PoorExecution
The character of Nupur feels like a misfit in the brilliant casting.
The ending is disappointing, as it fails to deliver anything unexpected, and the cliffhanger towards the second season with the same storyline of searching for Nupur's Pop Kaun? Feels lame and stale.
The series ultimately disappoints despite featuring an exceptional cast.
In summary, while the series has some great aspects such as a refreshing change from the current trend, a brilliant cast, and an important message, it falls short with a predictable storyline, stale humor, and a disappointing ending that is unsatisfying for audiences.
The Gray Man (2022)
Neither The Best Nor The Worst
This movie is exceptionally and unexpectedly entertaining. Not a second from the movie's whole duration would make you wanna nap. Action sequences are top-notch. Undoubtedly, Ryan Goslings and Chris Evans have given their all in playing out the characters and really getting into it. Wouldn't call it the best nor the most horrendously awful, it stands some in the middle between. The activities were stunning however the storyline has been somewhat immaculate. Despite the fact that I concur with the way that the closure was not fulfilling wherein we anticipated that the miscreant should be killed or in jail yet my own gut says that it was deliberately changed to something which no one would anticipate. Although Dhanush was there for 15 minutes in The Gray Man, it's all's the effect he left both as an entertainer and how his personality was outlined in the Netflix movie, coordinated by the Russo siblings, that made the biggest difference, holding his both in screen presence and activity before Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and Ana de Armas.
Brahmastra Part One: Shiva (2022)
"With Great Visuals Comes Average Storyline" is 'Brahmastra'.
If one just watches a movie for visuals and sounds, one will cherish it. I, at the end of the day, was worn out on the monotonous substance of Indian Cinema and the equivalent stereotypical storyline yet it struck me as something one of a kind since I came to be familiar with this film. This film is the aftereffect of the difficult work and commitment of many individuals, however, the reality should likewise arrive to the general audience. By watching the film, you will figure that a huge amount of money has been spent on it. The storyline is straightforward however not surprising at all. The story will run parallel, which will be associated at a point going ahead. To put it plainly, this film has been made with a mix of action + romance + science fiction. A hardcore romantic tale with a blend of hero drama essence and the crowd should confront the emergency whether the universe is at serious risk or love since I didn't see this as constrained sentiment energizing by any means. Why keep the title of the film 'Brahmastra' when the heartfelt romantic tale must be shown? Discussing the dialogues, I can say without a doubt that subsequent to seeing the movie, recalling them will be truly challenging. The way the force and power of astras are portrayed is astounding yet the other things might have been exceptional in any case. Every song and tune in the film is extremely appealing and impeccably positioned. The ambient sound is additionally positioned at the perfect screen duration and time and by and by, I feel that there would be no bad things to say about it. I would give it three stars since it was neither the best nor awful. Each cast has made a fantastic showing, except the ones whom this film relied upon. Shahrukh, Amitabh and Nagarjuna have less screen time however yet they have the most publicity throughout the film.
PS:- One thing to note is that the majority of the VFX scenes were displayed in the evening, and not during the day and we could figure that they lacked at it.
