I had a chance to see Eve After Dark at the Pan African Film Festival in 2023. The atmosphere was electric, and the theater was rocking. It was a memorable evening for all involved. This film is a beautiful, insightful, and at times hilarious look at the birth of this legendary club. This doc is filled with people from all strata of life who played a role in the club's success, performed at the club, or witnessed its rise firsthand. Fans of Hip-Hop and West Coast culture will be more than satisfied. This film is a fantastic addition to Sundance Film Festival Alumni David Velo Stewart's filmography.
