Amazing family movie which presents ghosts in a NEW way
avimehanwal5 March 2017
Brilliant family movie with class acting by almost everyone which showcases ghosts (inhumanly and non-existent being) with a NEW perspective.

Movie delivers few very strong messages and ideas like, - the ones who acts as the worst are actually the ones who deserves loves and caring the most. - Most fearsome beings are the ones who are afraid within themselves the most - Love conquers everything and everyone.

Highly recommended and must watch. Highly recommended

Indianisation of 'The Canterville Ghost'
abhiawakes223 July 2013
If you want to have good time with your kids and family, watch Abhay. Its a classic remake of Oscar Wilde's popular short story "The Canterville Ghost." Lets talk a bit about movie, a happy family moved into a village (perhaps in rajasthan) and choose a Haveli as their abode. While living there , they soon realise that they are not alone in the haveli. A ghost is there, who, with his clanking shackles and 'charrmarr' mojari, makes it impossible for family to sleep.

The Ghost is of 'Rana' who use to live here in past. The tussle between the three children of the new family and ghost of rana entertaining. Meanwhile Rana and his fellow ghost are also unhappy with this intrusion in their haveli. How things changes when the past come before this family and how they deal with it, is nice to see...

I won't disclose much and leave rest for the viewers. Enjoy every bit of it, cause in India, we rarely get finely made movies for kids with solid message in it. Actors like Nana Patekar, Benjamin Gelani, Moonmoon Sen and music by Vishal Bharadwa made this move a classic.

P.S. - I watched Abhay when I was in school, and use to have fear of ghosts. But this movie gave me a new insight about ghosts, and my fear turned into the curiosity of learning things behind the scene. :P
