The much-publicised crash episode...isn't actually that good. The crash is a rather cheap plot device and the circumstances surrounding it are desperately contrived.Paul flexes his parental muscles with Sophie who seems to be stuck in rebellious teen mode in order to get put in danger. There doesn't seem to be any reason for Ed to be there, and happily letting Tasha pretend they're not going out, other than to put another body in the car.In the end, the crash just...happens and the fact that it's used to put an end to Tasha's justifiable anger at Andrew committing fraud over an app that she and Ed developed leaves a nasty taste in the mouth.
Meanwhile, Lucas skirts around the issue of declaring his feelings to Vanessa, while Lou feels less like a supportive friend and more like a devil on his shoulder.Much of Lucas' excuses for keeping quiet would surely be just as valid if she wasn't dating Rhys.
