Karl and Jessica's attempts to keep their fledging romance secret fall at pretty much the first hurdle but there's a refreshing lack of drama: The way that they and Susan try to pretend they're comfortable with the situation is rather nice and even Summer manages to keep it reined in. At least the viewer is now certain what their status is.
The dynamic between Callum and Rani is rather pleasing here and it's a shame the opportunity to give Sophie a peer group of her own at Eden Hills isn't followed up on.It's getting a bit hard to tell her classmates apart but whoever it is that offers her the hand of friendship, Sophie turns her down.
