Poor Sasha
MarkLynnIreland12949 August 2022
It's the aftermath of who killed Stu Henderson - I knew quite well (worked out correctly) it's his girlfriend Sasha.

I admire how Sid stands by his daughter goes to Alf in needing Morag Bellingham (RIP Cornelia Frances) to represent Sasha.

Best scene of this episode is at the police station where we finally see the last of Stu when he was alive, flashbacks help mostly I'm not sure by what happened - as it looked Stu chased Sasha and abusively hit her again before she pushed him, and laid in the water, maybe hit his head on a rock, as some reason she got blood on her hands.

Even that flashback with Sasha comes home in tears and Xavier and Dex trying to find out what happened before looking for Stu. Surely Sasha should've known better to tell someone, not keep Stu's death a secret - or least thought he was unconscious when she left him (quite like when Chas assumedly killed Carl with brick in Emmerdale, aired few months later this year 2012)

As for subplot, Xavier is not a perfect young man himself, track record with girlfriends: Ruby Buckton, April Scott, Miranda one (lied to about being a university student), Kelly one (whose brother raped Bianca), now he's standing by Sasha. I dunno know if he's really interested in the police academy, like he's homesick, a momma's boy (Gina tagging along with him) or just keeps running away even time it gets tough for him - like I thought he's some bigshot.

"You're our sister, Sash. How could you possibly think we wouldn't be on your side?"

Warning: Spoilers
Another pleasingly tightly-focused episode, as it deals with the aftermath of Sasha's confession.Sid's mature and supportive way of handling things, as he goes to Morag for help and does his best to make Sasha feel like part of the family, will make you want to hug him. And then you'll want to hug Xavier even more for the sweet way he supports Sasha and the mature way he manages to convince Indigo and Dexter to be on her side.Even his rather foolish decision to run away from the police academy works well and, coupled with her sympathy for Sasha, allows us to see Georgina's softer side.

It's a long time before we get the full story for what happened to Stu but when it does come it's believable. It does seem like it is the whole truth as well, so hopefully the story can now begin to focus on the consequences.
