generous

Too many virtues for 16 minutes short film. It is the first conclusion after its end. The basic virtue is the generous liberty offered to viewer to interprete the story. The second - the landscapes and cinematography. And, not the last, the serious fist of questions.

A single woman, in an isolated house. Her routine.

A venerable man interested by her clothe. A visit in night, of a young wet man asking stay near fire, with spectacular consequence.

And a sort of revenge , bizarre romance and presumed happy end.

A short film giving not answers, maybe some suggestions not very easy to define in proper manner. The Gothic atmosphere of an England of XVIII century and generous chain of symbols. In fact, exactly the generosity , like the images and music, near the performances are the precious gift offered to audience by director. And this makes Fishwife just special to beautiful.
