I like reading historical fiction and novels set in the Middle East. This prompted me to do my own experiment. Intent on watching just a few of episodes before giving up, that was my original goal. But for some reason, it captivated me completely. For seven days straight, I watched it on TV. Tunisha Sharma is fantastic in the role of Shehzadi. She infused the role with gravitas and inner strength. In the role of Alibaba, Sheezan M. Khan did an excellent job. His work was excellent. There was force there, but it wasn't flashy. He captured, I believe, what it must have been like to be Alibaba. Simply said, he is handsome and charming. Peninsula Productions never fails to provide amazing outcomes. Actually, I am rather impressed. The story is excellent, and the characters are great, too. Alibaba -daastaan-e-kabul is the one exception to my rule of seldom watching foreign TV. I'd love that!
