The taboo in the "Pure Taboo" series often meant incest or other porno no-nos, but has come to mean bad triumphing over good, a belated reactionary pose to the old Hollywood production code that dictated that criminals had to be punished at the end of a story, so that Good always won out.
In this pair of lousy tales, good suffers and the bad guys win. This sort of manipulation falls flat for me -it makes the storytelling just as predictable as the opposite stricture way back when.
Vanna Bardot is a bratty teen, visiting her new stepdad for the first time since the wedding to her mom. He's played by Steve Holmes, still frequently cast in Chatsworth a couple of decades after his Euro heyday thanks to his still-hard big cock. He looks like a roue, better to play Mr. Hyde or Dorian Gray's portrait, but instead is an obsequious goody two-shoes trying to befriend his new daughter.
So she gives him a hard time forever, until the worm turns and soon Holmes is f*cking her, faux incest style. Bardot has merely outsmarted and entrapped the old coot, and the viewer is the real victim here. Bree Mills, the series' producer, gets credit for directing this sludge.
Second scene smugly paints a cynical portrait of decadence and corruption, titled "More Like Your Old Man". Playlet for three characters has Derrick Pierce as a successful but completely immoral businessman teaching his stepson Nathan Bronson his business, having the kid shadow him through a day at work for the executive.
What we get to see has nothing to do with his business, but everything to do with porn. Whitney Wright cheerfully plays Derrick's submissive secretary, first sexually servicing him while in imitation of the format of a Cuckold porn video, his son Bronson is forced to watch. Then, also against his will, Bronson has sex with Whitney to shadow his dad's behavior. His character comes off ultimately as cynical as daddy, or should I say stepdaddy, as for all its positioning as being outlaw porn, Pure Taboo is so timid as to making these characters not blood relations, even though their scene does not have them involved in sex together.
