I am still on board with The Consultant, but a lot of this episode just left me scratching my head. While I often wonder how shows are going to fill an eight episode or ten episode order with this one I feel that they rushed so many developments from Craig and his girlfriend and then Craig and Elaine. It feels like these kinds of stories deserved a lot more time than they got.

But the show remains a breeze to get through and a fun event from start to finish. Really hoping that there is not a letdown and we get the kind of finish that is worthy of the hype and the build that we have seen with the show thus far.

Power Personified

Patoff is moving ahead. The game that Craig initiated is now heading for the market. People can't get past level 316 (gee, what do those numbers signify). When the game is played to that level, people go bonkers and begin to punch through glass, in some cases doing serious injury. Meanwhile, Patti and Craig are falling apart. He is an habitual liar and has messed up time after time. By the same token, Patoff has utter control. He is like Bela Lugosi's Dracula in that he seems to be able to draw women to him. Is this heading toward some Biblical conclusion. If that's all it is I am disappointed. Well, off to Episode 7.

The show suggests that he had his bines made out of pure gold, and we could hear the glass steps on the stairs crackling when he barely made it up to his office. But his office chair seems to handle his weight just fine. This seems very much like a serious plot hole to me.

Apart of that, having met some crazy characters in large firms the show leaves a strange but familiar aftertaste with me. Curious if anyone else is having this impression. Christoph Waltz is a great cast for the role. I am aware that the show will drift into some absurd and unrealistic ending. One which I even might not like.
