Ten Touching Minutes
sashank_kini-16 February 2012
If it were not for the easy accessibility of ITunes, I would have never have got to see this short film.I only downloaded it on my IPad after getting to know that it had won a few awards at a college competition, including best animation and best sound. It has only 34 views on YouTube and no likes/dislikes or comments either. Even this review that I am writing may not be read by many, except those who probably check my other user reviews. But if someone does come across this review, please do view the film on YouTube or ITunes; it is quite a poignantly animated and composed 10 minute short that, even though the plot tells about man's greed,is more about divine/unexplained intervention through the inner bond between humans.

The music in the film is quit haunting, and played at the right moments to evoke an emotional response from the audience. The animation is also innovative, especially those of the chair and fan. The expressions of the characters too complement their emotions well. I'm not going to get much into the implausibility of the plot as this is a short, however I would say the murder looked preplanned rather that done at the spur of the moment out of greed. If I am to believe that this wasn't the character's first crime, then it is hard to believe that he successfully executed so many murders without being caught. Oh, I'm getting to pedantic! Let's not be too critical!

I wish Jason Ronzani the best of luck for his future. Do make longer films and revive the art of stop motion!
