It's clear this was a novice production, but considering it's an international film production out of Nigeria, it did have some impressive moments. Had the filmmakers at least consulted a seasoned filmmaker, this could've easily been better. For starters, the almost two hour runtime needed at least 20 mins of trimming down many scenes. Some felt too dragged out and some even unnecessary. The mostly poor pacing didn't help the runtime that already felt longer than it was. Most of the cast performed fairly well, but certainly needed more cast direction. There were some plot and technical issues that with little attention could've been avoided. The story did have decent continuity and flow to it, albeit mostly predictable. I don't regret watching it, but I can't really recommend it either, as there's much better options out there.

Action aside, Brotherhood was regrettably plain and missing a lot of enrichment
DELICIOUS
-OC Ukeje and Falz were the biggest surprises! OC was unrecognizable with the dreadlocks, street language, and thuggish appearance.
For the first time, we heard Falz speak normal English and look quite serious!!
-We're clapping for Jade Osiberu, honestly, this woman is a lioness to bring something new in Nigerian cinema proving that you CAN have action-packed scenes with explosives, cars rolling over, and extreme gun shooting
-No arguments on the lighting and cinematography; they were works of precision and professionalism.
BLAND
-Brotherhood was a rather simple plot. We saw Akin robbing money with his crew and Wale with his squad trying to apprehend them. That's it...
The theme of 'brotherhood' was vaguely addressed; there wasn't any intensity that made us relate to or sympathize with Wale and Akin, partly due to the ordinary dialogues and lack of character development
-Acting was overall basic. No one stood out from the crowd; Wale and Akin seemed more like friends in rivalry than brothers
-The score, the score, the score suffered big time. Some scenes that required vigorous music were accompanied by ballads while other quiet ones had upbeat music. This sadly broke the momentum
-What happened to the fighting sequences?😔They were 'safely' executed
-A couple of scenes missed logic, e.g. Two kids who've just lost their parents don't cry or scream but just stand there looking at the corpses? A senior officer goes out in the open to face an armed group without wearing a bulletproof jacket?

So firstly, kudos to the fact that this was "almost" well thought out. But then into the movie itself, there were so many plot holes, I mean a lot. Let me analyze certain scenes that I'm sure no research was done about them before they were filmed. First when the police were raiding that building first, a stethoscope was used to listen in if someone was in there. You only use a stethoscope to crack safes so I don't get the logic behind that and at the end of the day, what broke the door finally was an explosion and the action sequence after that was horrid. I don't want to analyze other scenes because I'll sound like a hater. The movie is watchable but truly as an analytical person, I think you might want to pass on this.

This movie is a nice example of how Hollywood terrible action movies influenced the cinematographies of the rest of the world. If your idea of an action movie is a protagonist saving his commander by jumping through the air and firing two guns at the two criminals rushing inside the room or a criminal giving a headshot to a policeman while shooting half-turned, with one hand from a vehicle speeding away then this movie is a solid ten for you. Oh and let's not forget the cliche of escaping by falling of a bridge while you're wounded and hitting the water like a plank...and that's not all, afterwards the antihero manages to catch up at a safe location the betrayer who was fleeing from the scene of conflict on a boat. Yeah, the script is just really bad.

You have to watch this movie if you are a fan of Nollywood movies.. This is a high quality movie as compared to other Nigerian movies. The plot reconciles well which gives it an icing on the cake. The action scenes are quite okay, almost better than that of Marvel's Iron fist. Lol. Watch the movie and Judge for yourself. The characters are awesome, and the plot twist is very logical. Good original score. Nevertheless, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I don't know what else to write about the movie. All I can say is, it's awesome. I don't understand the average review by people. Best of luck watching it. I hope you enjoy it.
